Quilt blocks purchased on Ebay from Art Quiltz
I have started purchasing quilts and/or blocks on Ebay and then quilting them. Here is a wall hanging I made from blocks for my sister Ann. Hope to get it quilted this weekend. Warming up the Millie! -
Carona and her quilts! from Art Quiltz
Carona loves it when I place quilts on the banister. She pulls them off and then crawls under them. Ya gotta love her. -

Japanese Fabric from Art Quiltz
I have never paid much attention to Japanese fabric although the International Fabric Collection is just north of my house. I have always been more into the African, Mexican and Australian fabrics. I stopped on Friday to pick up a "cat" panel, The Good Luck/Good Fortune Cat. I bought a yard of Japanese fabric on sale for $6 a yard and it is lovely. It has a silky feeling, and now I will have to look into them more. Check out International Fabric Collection at www.intfab.com They have some wonderful fabric. -
Snow Storm and Quilting patterns from Art Quiltz
We are supposed to get 6-15 inches of snow from this storm, which is nothing for us! I would rather get snowed in at home, where I can quilt instead of at work. I would like to start making quilt patterns for all who are interested. Please comment if there is an interest for easy quilt patterns that will probably be free or available for a small fee. -

Charlotte's Crown from Art Quiltz
Just completed for Judy's "Sewing and Fabric" in the Summit Town Center. Now I have to rewrite the instructions to sell the pattern. Everyone loves the smaller one in her store, but I am not so sure about the colors. I like this one much better. Will offer the pattern here too as soon as it is completed. The quilting was done with an APQS and Hartley Fence. -
Quilts from Art Quiltz

Wow, been a long time. I have been so busy with the holidays, and trying out my new Millie, by APQSAttached are a few photos of the completed quilts.Roger and I spent the morning cleaning the pottery and other items above the kitchen cabinets. You can surely tell he is an engineer; all items were put back in a line. No artistic talent is his bones. -
So Busy! from Art Quiltz
Can you believe Ocober is halfway over. Time to have all our shopping started for Christmas. It has been so busy here with my new Millie and learning to use it. I have purchased the extender from Donita Reeves, along with some rulers. Just getting to know them. I also bought a used Hartley Fence, that should be here soon. Can't wait to see what it will do. Gotta love those circles.
Last weekend I spent several hours listing knitting magazines and some yarn on Ebay, just to get some additional room for quilting. Who cares if you make ... -

APQS Millie from Art Quiltz
My Millie has arrived! Yesterday I took off from work and quilted three quilts. WOW! is what I have to say. If you ever decide to buy a longarm, please check with APQS. I love it already. Can't wait until I am an accomplished longarm quilter. Pictures will be available soon. The knitting and pottery will be taking a backseat now. -
What a weekend! from Art Quiltz
What a snow covered weekend this has been. The Erie Airport recorded 23.4 inches in 24 hours. Now that is a lot of snow. I stayed at work for 16 hours, I could not have gotten home anyway. It really was not busy; the only people on the road were in the ditches, or stuck in the snow drifts. The towing services finally quit answering their phones around 3 am on Sunday. The main roads were cleaned up pretty well by the time Roger came to get me. My thanks to all of those who worked so hard to ... -
Wonderful Winter from Art Quiltz
Another wonderful winter day in Erie, PA. Yesterday it was 65 degrees, tonight we have a lot of ice and no power. Great day to start a blog. I was sewing tonight, working on a quilt for a show in Edinboro, but then the weather got so bad that I took a break to see what was going on.
The quilt show is on July 5 and is a show and sale. There is not judging so it will be a chance for some who have never shown to get out and see how their quilts are viewed. Should be ...
