B&N Silent Auction Update from AQuA
After rethinking our space limits for the Silent Auction at Barnes & Noble in October, we think now that you will be limited to 3 pieces rather than 2. The Call for Entry/Entry Form has been updated.Remember, this exhibit will work just like our Mesa Verde exhibit, with the exception being that you must set your minimum bid price and there is no commission.

Dye Play Days at Fabric Arts Studio from AQuA
Come play with dye and design some beautiful fabric at the Dye Play Days at Jane Aldoretta’s Fabric Arts Studio, 2297 Tall Grass, Unit #9, Grand Junction., 263-7907.
The play day is Friday, July 23 9 am to 4 pm. Jane will either be charging an hourly rate of $5.00 per hour per person or $160.00 for the whole day divided by the number of participants. We may have so many that we need to schedule some people for one day and some for the following day.

Mesa Verde Quilt Show from AQuA
The June 19th turn-in for our Mesa Verde exhibit “Canyon Voices II” was a spectacular success. One hundred and one pieces were submitted. Just in case you didn’t get over to Denver to see the AQuA shows as part of the Quiltfest, here are a few images, all from the “Old Friends” Show. This show was by invitation from the Mancuso Management. ”Old Friends” was not juried, or photographed, and this collection of artwork as submitted will probably not be seen together again.

Mesa Verde Reminders from AQuA
A few reminders about your Mesa Verde pieces:
- Rules Change: You cannot alter your mat in any way. It must stay pristine white.
- Be sure to fill out an entry blank for each quilt, and fill out every blank.
- Only one $10 entry fee….for one quilt or multiple quilts.
- Please send your Artist Statement and Bio for the Mesa Verde quilts to Rita via e-mail by June 19th.

- All pieces must be matted correctly. There are directions on the web for doing this ...

One of our Denver members and Fiber artist, Carol Ann Waugh will be exhibiting her work at the Ice Cube Gallery in Denver, CO. , May 22 through June 12, 2010. Ice Cube Gallery is the newest and most contemporary gallery in the RiNo art district (RiverNorth). This show collected 23 entries for this exhibit, and the committee , Angela Kenley and Kathy Pfeufer were expecting a large show. However, our juror, Rayna Gilman, eliminated 8 entries, and left us with a small, colorful, and very diverse show of 15 winners.
