It has been awhile since I posted anything new. Unfortunately life has just gotten in the way of most of my sewing time lately. When I get a new camera or at least one that works better than what I have I will get photos updated, as I have several new items to showcase, but I'm not able to get any decent pictures!

This is part of an order I'm finishing up for a customer but it turned out really cute so I had to post a picture or two! This is an original design diaper stacker. Made with Air Force ABU fabric and navy piping, I stitched the AF Wings logo into the top panel because I thought it needed a little "somethin'". I am pretty pleased with the overall look. Now that I have a machine that gives me a little more flexibility in design I will probably modify this slightly before drafting up a pattern but nothing too noticeably ...

I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that I am currently about 2 weeks behind on orders. I had the flu for about a week which meant I didn't touch my machine (I didn't feel the need to send my flu virus home to my customers on their fabrics) and we are dealing with the unexpected diagnosis of my father-in-law's illness which brought my husband and 2 of my brother-in-law's home from their deployments early to be with their dad. I thought I would NEVER get this one done, but I finally managed to deliver it on Christmas Eve. Finding stuff that matches Marine Corps fabric really isn't easy. Sorry for the poor picture quality but I was down to just my camera phone since hubby took the good camera with him on his deployment.

A co-worker of mine was looking for something unique for her neices for Christmas, so she had me make them each a purse. I took her shopping for fabrics, and we found something for each little girl that seemed to fit their personality and I went to work. The first was for an 11 yr old, the second for a 6 yr old, and the last for a 2 1/2 yr old who wants to be a big girl like her sisters. Here is the result:

This one is all mine! I custom made the interior to have pockets all the way around that are made specifically for my ipod, cell phone, pepper spray, pens/pencils, keys, and other items to make them easily accessible. The top closes with a braided paracord loop and a button from the Air Force Dress Blues jacket.

So I finally got my website launched. Design part is sloooowwww going since I really don't know what I'm doing and don't have tons of time to devote to it. I want to redesign the blog to match the website, which is not completely done yet either so both will be in a "limbo" status for awhile.

I designed this Army ACU purse for an Army wife who wanted it to look like the ACU uniform, but with a touch of femine style. I made the front pockets functional (as much as can be with a slanted pocket) with velcro closures, pockets along each side on the outside, and the inside has a pocket on the upper inside back, as well as 3 more pockets along the front inside panel. It is lightweight, has velcro nametapes and rank so they can be changed, a sewn on flag patch on one side, and unit patch on the other ...

This pattern was one of those that I instantly fell in love with when I saw a fellow quilter make several as gifts. Start to finish this only took me about 3 hours, which is really good for a first time pattern. Now that I've made one the next ones will go alot faster. Anyway, I'm rather pleased with the result. The interior has pockets all along both the front and back sides. I made 3 pockets along one side, and the other has 2 pen/pencil slots, plus 2 more pockets perfectly sized for a little memo ...

I participated in a table runner swap on QN and here is what I made. This was my first attempt at a braided runner, as well as the first time I've ever done anything "quilt-as-you-go". I rather enjoyed that aspect of it. I have another kit to do it in Americana fabrics so I'll probably work that up sometime in the near future.

I started this about 3 years ago and life sorta got in the way. I pulled it back out a week or two ago and decided to finish it up!

I finished this Preamble to the Constitution a couple of months ago, and someone offered me alot of money for it, so I'm sending this one to a new home and I'll be making a new one for me!
