Civil War and other mumblings from all my crafts
I am so excited about taking a road trip this June. The best part of being "on the road again", it's been 20 years, is the company of my loved ones coming along. I have never been to Tennessee, so first on the list of course is Graceland, followed by Memphis bbq. So I need quilt shops in the area to visit...my new thing is Civil War fabric and patterns, I think everybody is on the band wagon, it's been 150 years..so if anybody out there happens upon my blog ideas would be greatly appreciated -
I am so sew so.... from all my crafts
so..here it is April 2010 and I have almost forgotten I had this blog....I have devoted way to much time to facebook..and other time wasting trivial pursuits. I haven't accomplished much of anything.
I am perplexed however, why is it that my scraps and stash seem to multliply even though I don't add to them and use them? Do the missing socks in the laundry turn into faabric scraps? And then there's the issue of wire hangers...where do they all come from...Will these questions be revealed to me ever in my lifetime? -
my pix of my little ole shack, and other ramblings from all my crafts
So here it is my little humble nana shack.. It still needs power and air conditioning. DH promised to finish it this weekend..But it's a Holiday weekend you say...oh well.....We don't do to much anyhow..Might have some friends and family ( is that an oxiemoran or however you spell it) My granddaughter will drag me kicking and screaming to the firework stands...can't see spending the money on it..for what they are...I plan on using the shack for my scrapbooking and storage...I really long to be organized..if you saw my ... -
my bad from all my crafts
I have been lagging in my quilting.....I am hostin a bridal shower for my niece on Tuesday and I am working on making the shower favors. I am also addicted to scrapbooking using my cricut bug. Knowing I could make cute little favor boxes of course I stick out my tongue and starting ranting I'll do it myself...this was before I learned the guest list was 50!
Oh yes, I am also doing the wedding favors....I am my own worst enemy...
Hopefully I will get back to quilting soon.. -
from all my crafts
This is my currant project...a disappearing nine patch, I vow to make a dent in my stash...do you believe me? I actually set some rules for myself I have to make a quilt where I no buy...before I can use one of my quilt kits..or purchase fabric. The border I plan to use is cats....catfish in snorkles, deep sea diving etc. The fabric was purchased probably a good 8 years ago..my bad. Please leave comments and let me know I'm not out in cyberspace by my lonesometootles -

I am folding every piece of fabric I own, and labeling how much yardage is on each piece....yes I can get obsessive at times.....and yes I am known to be commpulsive...the sad thing is within a couple of months I will have a big mess again. I really thought my shed pix were on this camera...need to go track where I put them. I can't move my overflow into it until it is wired for power.tootles for now -
the best laid plans... from all my crafts
so finally my "shed " is finished. It does still need to be wired for electricity. In the mean time I decided to organize my stash...it is in the process of being folded and labeled ( amount of each cut). It is taking a lot longer than I judged...story of my life. But I know that in the end I will be a very happy quilter.
I will get pix up soon...famous last words -
where to stash the stash from all my crafts

from all my crafts
This quilt is made from my moda stash (silly safari). My dear grandaughter laid out the blocks to suit her..it will be hers once I finish it....
Hopefully this summer I will be able to sit her down to a sewing machine and start her quilting, she shows and interest...she lives with me so it's not a matter if when she visits,,more like when nana feels up to it.
How many people believe that the stash multiples at night? It seems the more I use the more I have..

LANCASTER, PA from all my crafts
This last October I had a chance to fullfill one of the items on my bucket list.. I travelled to Lancaster with my fellow quilting ladies. I was so impressed with the countryside, we were lucky enough to catch the last of the fall foliage, or the beginning...The colors were awesome...perhaps it is God's quilt?
It was a treat to learn about the Amish culture, and they drive thru the drive thrus for banking, fast food etc. In my mind I quess I assumed they were not involved or like us the Englishers....
While there we went ... -
