I'm spoiled and I know it from A Quilting Sheep
Russ and I had to take a trip to Des Moines yesterday, so we made a day of it. Russ spoils me! No worries, I spoil him, too. He got to see lots and lots of motorcycles. {grin} I did have one moment of anxiety in the Harley store. I was envisioning Russ touching a bike and having it fall over and then watching a very expensive domino affect take place. I wonder if that's ever happened before or if it's only in my imagination. All I know is my heart was in my throat the while time ... -

After scouring the net for hours and hours trying to find Quilt Patis I finally found some in stock at a cute store in Canada called Sew Sisters. It does appear that the creator of the Quilt Patis is going to be getting more in stock soon. I was too impatient to wait. {ahem}
And just in time to help a girl out, Karen at Sew Many Ways posted a very detailed tutorial on how to sew the hexagons and how to sew the sew them together.

Share your opinion.... from A Quilting Sheep
I am so pleased with how this quilt is going.My thoughts are to add a narrow boarder in the Kona Snow and then squares or rectangles of the 1930's fabric as the final boarder.Then again, maybe I ought to just leave it as it is now...What would you do?

Reorganizing and stash playing from A Quilting Sheep
Last week, I bought a new-to-me desk from Stuff Etc with the intention of making into a sewing table for my Viking, but ended up liking it so much I decided to rearrange my living room so I could use it as my computer desk. The drawers are huge!! I will fix it up one of these days...
The few precuts I have and some stash I bought from Natalia of Piece N Quilt all tucked in the bottom drawer.
My old computer desk became Reagan's. He has more room to spread out and do his schoolwork here.

Working with the Peeps from A Quilting Sheep

The Castle Peeps fabric is here! My young and highly intelligent friend, Casey, got to work designing the quilt we are going to make. I'll get to do the hands on work as she claims she can't sew a straight line. I am determined to get her to learn to sew before the winter is over.
The actual design is a secret for just a little while. =) I will post the progress we make as we go.
