Ok, so I'm a mad woman with quilting these days but, having so much fun learning new things. Today, I had a class with Jill Schumacher AKA Quiltmaker to the Queen at Always Quilting in San Mateo. Jill is very inspiring and patient. While I have been practicing learning this technique for a while today it set in. Now, I knew how important marking was but, today it sunk in. Yes, tedious but, the results are worth it. Below is my practice piece. Nope, not perfect, still have alot of practicing to do. If you're not familiar with ... -

Accidental LandscapeClass/Karen Eckmeier from AMOCHA1 QUILTS
Today, I had the opportunity to take a Guild Class with Karen Eckmeier called Accidental Landscapes. Below is the completed top. It has been sandwiched, just need to quilt it and bind it. This was a fun class and did not take long to do. There are so many possibilities with this technique. I'm looking forward to doing a postcard from the scraps and several other versions of this quilt soon.

Shameless Snag with Carol Taylor from AMOCHA1 QUILTS
This past week I had the opportunity to spend 3 days with Carol Taylor. ( www.caroltaylorquilts.com ) What an incredible experience. Each of the ladies did fantastic work on their quilts. Photos will be up soon. In the interim, I grabbed a photo of me and others watching Carol do a demo. Carol is extremely creative and patient. With 25 students in the class she was able to provide attention to everyone with the kindness of a saint.
Until later
