To Do Tuesday #81 from The Quilt Yarn

My task from 2 weeks ago was to finish my stitching in the ditch of my background filler project - Done! While happy with that I am a bit anxious about how the middle section will quilt out as I got the two seams running through the orange fabric. Not sure whether this will work out so good, but we shall see.

That's the only task I had put down as we had our annual quilt show over here and I knew that I would not do anything much else.

Lifetime Achievement Quilt from Appalachian Quilts

One year.  That's how long it took me to quilt this quilt.  I don't call it my Lifetime Achievement Quilt because it is hard or anything special.  I call it my Lifetime Achievement because I am proud of myself for persevering.  This quilt has been on and off the longarm for one year.....  I would work on it for a bit.  A custom quilt would come in from a customer and I would take it off long enough to take care of the customer.  Then - back on the longarm it went.

Let's Do Some Ruler Work #11 from The Quilt Yarn

I have this piece of silk that I was saving for something, not sure what, so it has been sitting around in my stash for some years by now. The problem with silk for me is the marking, still not entirely sure what people use, however I finally put it to good use, stitching out the Heartfelt Wholecloth Quilt  designed by Kelly Ashton using all the rulers of the Handiquilter Ruler of the Month Club 5 (as this meant minimal marking). No better way to get used to some of these rulers then to use them in an actual project ...
