Secret Sewing Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

 As I was preparing for my book submission, I was also secretly sewing a number of quilts.  I have over 30 (!) projects either finished or in the works.  Now I can finally start sharing them with you.




I had a huge amount of black and white scraps.  I decided to get out my AccuQuilt fabric cutter and cut them up into 2.5" squares.  I then turned them into scrappy nine patches.

Scrap Mixology : Well Suited from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

 Back in late 2019, I started working on my goal of writing a book.  I decided to spend tons of hours secretly sewing and putting together ten block designs for a book proposal.  I held myself to the goal of sending it off for review by the end of March.

Well....crap!

So much for well laid plans.  I still sent it off even though businesses were not sure what the future would look like and I waited for over 5 long months for them to make a final decision on it.  It was not the best book to release ...

Another Scrappy Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

 I finished this quilt top quite a while ago.  It has been just sitting around waiting for me to quilt it up.  I had some time on my frame this week so I snuck it in between some client quilts.




I have made this design a few times in the past.  This time I narrowed the colors down to just red, orange and yellow.

(Due to all the fires and smoke in our area, everything has a very orange cast to it.  And the smoke is so bad, I don't stay outside long!)
