Good morning, my friends. We're back from our little beach getaway. All my pictures are edited and uploaded, and so we can get busy catching up. I hope you've had a good week, and that nobody got sick while I was gone. Also, before I go on, thank you to those of you who stopped by to see my art quilt reveal.

Good Saturday morning, my friends! We're back home again after a very nice several days in Port Angeles, Washington. It's just as well I'd been undecided about blogging while we were away. Our internet signal was very weak. It would have been possible to blog, but uploading pictures would have been painful. And, let's face it. There must be pictures.

Good Saturday morning, my friends! We're back home again after a very nice several days in Port Angeles, Washington. It's just as well I'd been undecided about blogging while we were away. Our internet signal was very weak. It would have been possible to blog, but uploading pictures would have been painful. And, let's face it. There must be pictures.

There was a pretty sunrise this morning. I love the sunrises and sunsets in Nevada. There are pretty sun events everywhere, I guess, but it seems the ones in Nevada are more predictably pretty. I watched this morning's for quite a while and took a bunch of pictures. I was hoping to capture just the moment when it peeked over the mountains, but I got bored after a while. This was the best of the pictures I took this morning.

You might remember I was going to try a recipe for a slow cooker French onion soup last week. Then, I realized my slow cooker didn't have enough volume for the amount of onions I wanted to include. The onions are started dry in the slow cooker, and I felt as if I needed to monitor it when I tried it the first time. Ordinarily, I don't give too much thought to things catching on fire in the kitchen, but in this case, I felt more comfortable starting it up on a day when I could be around ...

There comes a day in every RVer's life when we have to do some adult things. Yesterday was one of those days. We started out grocery shopping and then continued on with laundry. It was past time to wash our bed sheets. I figured it I was going to walk to the park laundry, I might as well do a load of jeans too. It meant walking back and forth, up and down a steep hill, four times to finish the laundry. I figure I got my exercise. By day's end, we felt like old people. And, if ...

There comes a day in every RVer's life when we have to do some adult things. Yesterday was one of those days. We started out grocery shopping and then continued on with laundry. We enjoyed a pretty Arizona sunrise this morning. It's our last day here. We'll move on to Flagstaff tomorrow, and we'll be on a serious trek toward home with just a few more sight-seeing items along the way. 

We were slow getting moving yesterday morning. Possibly rattling our bones on our ride the day before made the difference. I noticed this sign...somewhere...in internet land. It seemed to capture the spirit of ATVing.

We enjoyed a pretty Arizona sunrise this morning. It's our last day here. We'll move on to Flagstaff tomorrow, and we'll be on a serious trek toward home with just a few more sight-seeing items along the way.

We did some riding here in Silverton this afternoon, but I want to bring you up-to-date on the time we were offline before catching up here to the present day. I'll tell you about today's ride in tomorrow's post. For now, let's just travel back to Friday afternoon. We were still working around the road closure, and so we didn't leave the camper until just before the road opened at noon. They knocked off early on Friday, and so we only had to keep ourselves ...

It's Sunday afternoon as I'm writing this post. We couldn't have planned our beach trip any better if we'd been clairvoyant. While there was a heat wave raging back home, we were enjoying relatively chilly weather at the beach in Winchester Bay, Oregon. I hope y'all have been behaving yourselves...not getting sick, etc. I have a lot of pictures to show today, so just get yourself a cuppa cuppa and let's have a chat. 

We left around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. We were towing our ATV's and so this was truck camper adventure.

I don't mind doing some of it ahead of time, but it means making a lot of lists and dividing my time among the many tasks ahead. Just thinking about the food yesterday took me at least an hour and a half. And then there's the problem with the thinking part ...

Everything I'm doing for the next several days will be in some way preparing for next week's short trip to the beach. It always seems like a lot of work to get ready for a short trip, but then the trip itself is completely relaxing. I don't mind doing some of it ahead of time, but it means making a lot of lists and dividing my time among the many tasks ahead. Just thinking about the food yesterday took me at least an hour and a half. And then there's the problem with the thinking part ...
