I had an interesting chat yesterday morning. After spin class, I walked the girls separately, and when I was walking Murphy, I saw one of the city workers inspecting the damage in the forest! Yes - I know it's a woodlot, but I call it a forest. I'm allowed!
We had a great chat, but he was only a worker bee, so he didn't know much. I asked about the removal of the pavement, and he said that it was "lifetime" maintenance, that they were waiting for the ground to settle, and that they would repave just those ...
read moreI think I'm almost back in my time zone. I slept great—only woke up once and actually got up to do some work. I went back to bed, and I should be good today, although a nap every once in a while is highly recommended.
Getting back early from a trip is great, but what does one do with the "free" time? OK -- you know I'm not one to sit around, so I've been busy!

read moreIt was a bittersweet day. I had to drop something off, and I wanted to visit the person; however, they had recently been exposed to COVID, so that didn't happen. So I drove to Orillia to one of my favorite quilt stores -- Thimbles and Things. Sue has sold the store and is retiring! While she will be working in the store from time to time, we are not guaranteed to see her smiling face when we walk in the door! ACK!!
