Quilty Love = Cross Stitch Love from Life in the Scrapatch


I am stitching along with the

This is another new WIP.

I am beginning to think I need to stop starting new projects
but I saw all the stitching in progress and I just could not resist.  

It is late at night here and was sewing today on one of my quilty commitments
when this project called my name because my floss arrived today!


I am choosing medium red, pink and light seagreen DMC floss for this project.

Bush Fire Tree Block Drive ~ #bushfireblocks from Life in the Scrapatch



My quilty kitty and I made this improv tree block today.

It is destined for the 


who are collecting tree blocks from all over the world to make
quilts for those affected by the terrible bust fires in Australia.

Bloom*Topia ~ Where Wishes Come True from Life in the Scrapatch



I am gathering supplies to be ready for Bloom*Topia.

And Now There Are Three from Life in the Scrapatch



Three Scrappy Nine Patch Blocks


This first block was made nine months ago and posted  Here
as the seed block for a scrappy BOM endeavor that I did not continue.
I cannot tell you why I did not make any more blocks. 


For this project I pulled out this old stash of fat quarters
and a piece of yardage.
This is a vintage Fig Tree Quilts line called "Fresh Cottons."
I still love the soft and pretty colors and florals.

I liked this Nine Patch block so much it was on my wall since I made it.

OMG ~ Something New to Meet the Winter Blues 2020 from Life in the Scrapatch


Something old that will be new (for me) for the New Year.

My track record in recent years has not been too successful.
So I will make a January goal and see how it goes.

A Mystery Quilt in the Making from Life in the Scrapatch


These are my blocks for Clues 1-5 for the

Last week I saw this lovely block for a mini mystery quilt in the making ... 



I was intrigued so I followed the thread trail back to the designer:



To keep it a mystery, I started at Clue 1 and did not peek at the later clues.

which I pulled for another project
to see how they would play together in a larger quilt.



I started sewing My Clue 1 Block Here on Thursday.



 I completed my top just in time to add it to the Linky Party

This was an interesting mystery.
I will sew more of these fabrics and have this cute mini quilt to coordinate with it.
