Action to end period poverty from Charm About You

It's something that needs talking about, it makes some people uncomfortable, but many of us have the luxury of being able to access sanitary products and others don't. There's a huge need for safe hygienic menstrual products and a pressing concern about making products sustainable. 28th May was World Menstrual Hygiene Day and I'm happy to be sharing the great work that ActionAid UK are doing to end period poverty.

Me Made May from Stitch and Yarn

Today marks the beginning of Me Made May. I’ve never participated before, as watching it on Instragram, it seemed the purpose was to wear something different that you’d made, every day, for a month. My autumn/winter wardrobe doesn’t extend to 31 different outfits, let alone my handmade one.

Show n tell from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!


We've all had them - days that just do go wrong from the moment you get up. That seemed to be yesterday. However, that was yesterday, today is a brand new day and it's going to be a good day! Why? Because I'm going to make it a good day!

I didn't get as much done as I would have liked yesterday, but that's OK. I learned some lessons so, from that perspective, it was a good day.

Sustainable sewing from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!


Oh boy - I think I've gone crazy. Not that I wasn't crazy before, but this has really tipped the scales.

I should mention that my eyelid has turned many shades of purple. Since it's mostly my eyelid, you can't really see the damage! It would appear that I really fell on my left side as my chest felt a bit sore yesterday and still does this morning. But I'm recovering!
