SUNRISE, SUNSHINE, SUNSET from Q-BITS

I live in the banana belt of Colorado, where the sunrises are glorious, and the sunsets are wonderful going down behind the mountains.  In between the rise and set, we have sunshine 300+ days a year.  It is a blessing to live in my native state of Colorado.    


This is my last quilt for 2023.  A New Year is upon us, and the sun will rise again tomorrow. 
 I wish you the joy of God's love, health, safety,  and peace in 2024.

& Love, Swoon, Sunshine and other bits of note from Sew Sunshine


One of my nieces got married recently. It was supposed to be in 2020 and the dates got changed a few times but finally in 2021 it happened but not on date planned.  I finally got to see her since attempting to help her with her wedding dress alterations last year. 
I wanted to make something to commemorate the event so I made a wedding ring wall hanging. I love this pattern and to prove it, this is my third one I made using the Liz Harvantine block pattern. HERE

"Out, I Say!" from From the Strawberry Patch...

You'll enjoy this tale of my abject frustration over this latest incident. On Saturday afternoon I walked around the longarm and saw this horrible, offensive spot on the area rug in the sewing room (circled in white). Immediately thinking that Hannes had either an "accident" or had been sick to his stomach, I ran to the cupboard for rags and the Resolve carpet cleaner. I scrubbed and scrubbed to

Grumpy Sunflowers: Colour & Inspiration Tuesday from Clever Chameleon

I was going to pass. No blogging this week….

The Chameleon was just not in the mood. Grumpy. Not enough sewing, for one. My laptop ate my homework for another (no joke, literally corrupted my assignment during the last save, between proofread and submit….(&*$%@!!!) and we are all suffering varying degrees of end-of-school-term-itis here, etc etc. Nothing serious. Just pecked to death by the gloom duck, even after hubby helped me retrieve *most* of my assignment from wherever it is that corrupted files go to die.
