Strawberry Fete 13, 14 from Virtual Quilter

I haven’t opened this project for years, but thought I would bring it back into the spotlight today, as I have a yearning for lovely fresh strawberries. Unfortunately, I will have to wait a while as it is too cold for strawberries to bear fruit at this time of the year here.

Enough to make my mouth water!

That Perfect Border from From the Strawberry Patch...

I'm sure you've had that same feeling that I experienced recently; it's that victorious sense of accomplishing something great when you stumble upon that one, perfect, solution to a problem. I'd finished piecing the center of this quilt completely from my stash. I kept thinking, the whole time, "I'll find something to border this with when I need it." But, truth be told, I wasn't fully convinced

Looks delicious … my favourite fruit!

Thank goodness strawberry season is approaching, though it feels as though it is moving very slowly!

Fun Run to Strawberry Hill from From My Carolina Home

With summer in full swing, car club events are more frequent. We are enjoying our warm days, abundant sunshine and not too hot temps in the mountains. We met early at a visitor center on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a nice drive though some back roads down to South Carolina. There were so many cars for the event, we had to split into three groups! We were in the first group to roll out with the two others following at 15-20 minute intervals.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is green everywhere, with tall trees creating arbors over the road in ...

The Pound cake not to make... from Fostering Others

If you know me, you know I love a good pound cake!! And I really love making them!

Well, here are 2 types of strawberry pound cake. One made with cream cheese.  The other without.  Both recipes off Pinterest.

I’ve never used strawberries inside, just as a topping.  Well, I won’t do that again. Omg.. recipe fail.  strawberries are made as a topping, not to cook inside. #pinterestfail

Decisions, Decisions... from From the Strawberry Patch...

It won't come as any surprise to you reading this that Mr. Goodneedle and I are huge DIY'ers. If there's a way to do it ourselves, we'll check it out and much more likely than not, we'll go for it. There's a need to replace the sling backs/seats in out formerly outdoor (now porch) dining set. The current fabric on there has seen way too much weather over the past ten years or so, it had always

'Tis the Season from From the Strawberry Patch...

With the month of May come big changes, seasonal ones! Yep, the strawberries are ripe at our local U-pick farm, each and every berry is absolutely as delicious as it looks. The porch quilt has been updated to reflect this full-fledged launch into spring and sunny days ahead. Much more time has been spent lately out-of-doors than inside. It feels so good to get out and to get dirt under my
