one day in . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

I love the new year . . . the roll out of new resolutions, new challenges, a new word, and a fresh opportunity to get it right.  A clean slate, so to speak!  Mind you, I do not do resolutions, but I do enjoy selecting a word to focus on for the coming year. This year my word is . . .
Yup, aware. That works on a lot levels.  Yesterday, it was important for me to be weather aware.

When your temps get up to eighty degrees ahead of a cold front, chances are good severe weather will follow.  It was a balmy, windy ...

lake day . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

After that burst of creativity . . . I had a really non-productive week.  And when we hit the lake on Friday, I didn't even take a stitching project with me.

I feel the need for speeeeeed!!! (Name that movie!)
I took my (boat) kindle . . .

All at Sea: Colour & Inspiration Tuesday from Clever Chameleon

All at Sea colour board at Clever Chameleon

…. or perhaps, Teasing You Tuesday

A piece of blog hop with Island Batik

I’ve not a lot to show you today, but I’m teasing you anyway. Since I finished off the turkey, much of my quilting time has been dedicated to secret designing and sewing. This is because the ambassadors who did not do the Island Batik blog hop in August are scheduled on a hop in November. That includes me, and I am slated for early in the lineup. So it is head down, tail up, madly sewing for the Chameleon for the fore-sea-able future. Give or take a couple of balloon animal appliquĂ© pattern ...

Rose/storm class samples from Mrs Moen

Here are my samples for the mixed media Rose/storm class:

Warm colours

One of the things that I particularly like about this class is that the overall look can easily be adjusted to the students’ colour preferences. The warm colour kit can for instance easily be made more hot pink or warm orange.

Cold colours

.

And the purple sample

And a few pictures from one of my classes
