Murphy helps to declutter from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

As much as it was nice to be away and sew with friends, it's nice to be home and get back into the routine!

The Zooms went well, and there was lots of great show-and-tell, some of which I'll share later this week. Then, it was back to cleaning up the stuff.

I still had all this that needed to be put away. Again, it was slow and methodical. It's not enough to just shove it on a shelf. A lot of stuff needs to be dealt with, and if I don't do it properly, I ...

You CANNOT judge me! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Some days, I sit down here and wonder where to start. It's not that rocket science is being done at my house, but sometimes, the slow and steady process of getting rid of more stuff just blows my mind.

So, you are NOT allowed to judge me based on what I'm going to share today. You can talk about me and how crazy I am, but you are not allowed to judge me. What I find entertaining is not what you would find entertaining, and vice versa.

However, I know what I'm going to do when I ...

Clearing up the little jobs - one at a time from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Slow and steady! Therapeutic! I hope others feel that because after the Virtual Retreat, I think a "few" people have been organizing their sewing spaces. I heard people having been refolding their fabrics so they fit nicely on the shelves, scraps have been pitched, patterns are being reevaluated, and a whole lot more.

Doesn't it feel good? I swear, the more that I slow down and actually accomplish those niggly little tasks, the more I want to do them and actually get something done instead of shoving it to the side.

Let's take a look at what is ...

All things Barbie from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

OK --- so the link to the classes is fixed! So whenever you want to go and review the list to see what will work with your schedule when other offerings become available, you'll be able to easily see it. Feel free to pass that link along to someone you think might be interested in some of the classes. Remember, the clubs/classes currently scheduled to run from October to December will continue as per the agendas already laid out. These are NEW sessions (for the software clubs) and new projects or techniques.

So you remember all those Barbie quilt ...

Progess report! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

There must have been some residue from the solar flares the previous day -- yep, more technical issues! But I worked around them.

First, DH came to get his keyboard back! What??? No, that was the keyboard from the computer he uses every day. He was just loaning it to me for the evening. OH! But he happened to have a wireless keyboard to his other computer (yep -- we are NOT just one computer per family member!). So I had the joy of installing that, which was easy.

However, it didn't work. Then I noticed THREE large white buttons. Apparently ...

Solar Flares! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm going to blame it entirely on solar flares! Apparently, there was a large one yesterday. Not only did the keyboard crap out, but other things also happened.

I did some testing on the keyboard later in the day, and well -- it's a mystery to be sure. Somehow some of the keys have gone wonky - when I type an "r," I get "6r". When I type "f," I get "5f." Typing a V brings up the help. I think there are eight keys affected, but one can't type with craziness like that.

And when I look at ...

The backyard blooms from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Sounds like I'm not the only one traveling! Just go with the flow -- life is too short to get upset at anything!

I was hoping to get more done yesterday, but that didn't happen. I got a quilt loaded on the long arm and hoped to get it quilted, but I couldn't muster the energy. I was going to do paperwork, and that wasn't happening either. So then, at a very early time this morning, I was awake and got some paperwork done.

The problem is that I'm back on a plane tomorrow, and there ...

A step forward from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

More progress is being made -- but it never seems fast enough. The tasks are getting completed, but are there enough days in which to complete all the tasks?

Spring is definitely on its way, and I've now walked at least three mornings in a row with no hat! WOW! That's exciting, and the snow is melting like mad.

I spotted this cardinal on the tree in the front -- not that they are a sign of spring, but all the birds are chirping like mad in the morning.

And look --- tulips and daffodils ...

Deju Vu! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my --- I am getting to like this quiet pace. No deadlines, yet I'm still getting lots done -- well, I"m getting stuff done, I don't know about lots. I'm reading, relaxing (yet still walking), and well -- it's positively grand! However, I don't think I'm quite ready to retire yet! I've got so much to learn, and teaching (or leading a group) helps me to learn, so I can't give that up entirely!

But what day is it? Oh yes -- Sunday!

My days are positively starting to be like Groundhog Day! Yep ...

Officially An Old Broad! from caledonia quilter

First, here is the little Superbowl Sunday quilt, completely finished.

It's so pretty, thanks to the Moda Charm Square pack.
I did learn a valuable lesson, though.  Don't write out a quilt label while you are messaging with the Beach Girls about March appointments for haircuts.  You WILL put the wrong date on the label.

I figured it was close enough that I was not writing out another one.

BIRTHDAY!!!

In the middle of a pandemic, I managed to have my 65th birthday yesterday.  Yay me!!

As I have been saying for months, YES, I had Bailey's ...

The old and the new from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Wow -- it was like Grand Central Station at my house yesterday. People picked up quilts, pet mats, the cabinet, UPS stopped by to pick up a package, and I had a drop off as well - door to door delivery from a quilt shop! But not by the quilt shop - the package was pony expressed by a friend. It was crazy, and I was hoping that no one picked up the wrong thing. But all is well.

The little cabinet? It's already has a new home and a new purpose. I love that someone found a use for it right ...

I stand corrected from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Ooops -- I made a mistake! Remember I showed you the label on my orange tray? Well, Colin + Justin are still alive!   I was thinking of Steven and Chris (and it was Chris who died). Oh boy - thank goodness, I have you all to keep me on track! Thanks, Pauline!!!

My orange tray

And I knew Katheleen would not disappoint. I got suggestions on what to do with those transparencies. So I'm keeping them. I knew she would have a purpose. I can sew through them and use them for pockets in journals. How clever!!!

The transparencies are saved

Do ...
