A Blessing And A Curse from Wedding Dress Blue

About two-and-one-half years ago my sewing room got a major facelift in the form of a cutting table.  YAY!  So many years of cutting on the floor were over.

But, the curse part is that it created space to shove stuff.  A LOT of stuff.

So, it all came out.

A really big pile went to live elsewhere.

The batting pieces were even made into Franken-batting and given a storage space.

And it is all back.

The top of the table is still a bit of a mess, but that can wait until tomorrow…

Lessons Learned from Quilt Paint Create

I’ve been sorting through the sewing room and reorganizing. It’s a time consuming process. I went into it knowing I have too much stuff and it isn’t well organized, but other lessons emerged from the debris.
I don’t play enough.
I’ve posted about that several times over the years. Why is it so hard to make time for creative play? I get too caught up in my list and finishing the things on my list. I need to knock it off.

Last year we released two videos on how I fold and organize my fabric stash. You loved it, but many of you wanted to just see the folding.

Around The Sewing Room from Quilt Paint Create

All sorts of things going on in the sewing room. I don’t know that so much activity does me any favors, but so it goes.
I finished embroidering bear block #3 and started #4. I’ll hold off on pictures until I start setting the blocks together.
At Art Quilt Group Tuesday we made these folded fabric ornaments.
