Embroidery At The Grange from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up with Patrick. He went golfing and I got ready for my meeting at the grange.

First things first, I had to send off the newspaper clipping to Bryan to see if he could get them. I hope he does, because I need him to look them over and find out how they are related to us. I don't have the time to do that. Actually, I do, but I would rather play games.

Then I got some ice tea at McD's. Geralyn and I were the only ones there, till moms showed up ...

Ripping Out More Than Putting In from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early and just enjoying the day. We had a "war" going on in the game, so I was ready when the time came.

Once that was over with, I cleaned up the kitchen and then went walking with Ron. We got 5 laps in. He thought we weren't walking today.

I seriously needed to do something other than game playing. So, I went downstairs, put my earbuds in and listened to my book. Finished it actually.

I worked on getting this finished. Or at least I thought I was working to get it finished ...

Hello Veterans - Another QOV Presentation Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I walked with Ron, and we got 6 laps around the neighborhood. Then I had to hurry and get myself out the door to the museum.  I had to stop at Dutch Brothers first to get Debbie and myself a hot drink. - Yeah, I know, hot weather and buying a hot drink. Just couldn't help myself!

Arrived and was needed as soon as I got there. Debbie was watching her grandson's game on the phone app. I was bringing the quilts in. lol We loaded the quilts into the museum and feel better about what we ...

Trying To Stay Cool - And Still Quilt from Quilting My Way

This morning, I went out early to pick blueberries. I was able to get 4 cups. I didn't clean them up yet, but I will tomorrow.

After that, Ron called, and I told him we would wait till later today. By that time, it would be cooler - so I thought. We reached 106 degrees at 6 pm - so I know we were closer to 110 degrees today. When he did call at 7:30 pm, it was still too hot to go walking. Told him we will wait till Thursday to go out and walk.

I headed downstairs. I ...

Another HOT Day But Got Stuff Done from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up earlier than I had originally planned. I slept downstairs to stay cool. Sophie wasn't happy with me last night because Patrick slept upstairs. She meowed to let me know I needed to go upstairs. It was funny watching her talking to me as she walked back and forth to the stairs.

I also realized last night that I needed to get the batting and backing ready for Colleen today. So, I cut it at 10:30 last night.

This morning, I came up and took a shower. When I got my phone, I realized ...

Still Waiting For That Day....... from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up about the time Patrick was leaving for golf. I played for awhile and then I headed out the door.

My dental appointment was at 10:30 am. I decided on a new dentist and I found that I really like this guy better than the one I had. Worst part of it is that I haven't been in over a year. So, this time they checked my teeth and found I needed to get 3 of my fillings redone because of cracks. Then he told me I needed a month guard at bed. He ...

Boring Day - from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and playing games. I was expecting company, so I needed to vacuum and get a few things done. Laundry went in, and dishwasher was ran.

Connie arrived around 11 am. She dropped off 4 quilts that were ready for bindings. I gave them to Patrick to take to moms, since he had to go up to Olympia for blood tests. I stayed home to do some other stuff. While she was here, we talked about the quilt top I was thinking of doing.

I was trying to decide which color I liked better with the ...

Another Trip To Olympia from Quilting My Way

Today we enjoyed being able to sleep in. Today wasn't a day I walked with Ron. He was going golfing with one of his sons.

We headed out to Safeway and got some groceries we needed. Also got a Birthday card for Sister-in-law. Then came home. Put everything away and then headed out to Olympia.

I had my ultrasound for my thyroid. Hopefully it will be fine. I don't need another thing going wrong.

Came home - again - and I decided I needed to get the quilts ready for the museum.

The label that Stitch'n Peace put on ...

Beautiful Day Today! from Quilting My Way

Today was a good day for enjoying the beautiful weather.

This is the road Ron and I walk on. It's really pretty today. I loved the sky blue going from light to dark. There is houses there, but the trees cover them.

This is the view from the side of our house. It's really pretty to see the sky so clear and the trees against the background. That's part of WA State for you! That's why I love it here.

We walked 5 laps. Then I came in because it was warm today. This is our ...

Still Pain, But I Did Finish The Top from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up before Patrick. Then I went walking with Ron.

This is where we turn around and walk back. It was so pretty to see the blue sky and clouds. I should have gotten closer for the photo, but I just love how the clouds and sky work together.

Came back in the house and figured it was time for me to go down and get a few things done. I needed to get the quilt top done and off.

I trimmed the sides, because it was way too wide. But now it will work. Patrick liked ...

Working On A Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early. Can't seem to sleep later than 7:30 am because of the sun coming in the window.

After Patrick was up, I was trying to decide what I wanted to do today. He was going to work on the strawberry jam. He was making that for Nancy, Phil, and mom. Think he has enough from last year to keep him busy.

I went downstairs to get fabric for Georgie together. Then while I was down there, decided to try and work on that quilt top.

I was working on getting that corner done ...

Embroidery Day At The Grange from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was out the door and on my way to the grange. I stopped and got a Chai tea at the coffee stand. It's more expensive than the Dutch Brothers I go to. Plus, the taste is a little different, even though I know they use the same ingrediencies.

It was just Geralyn and me today. We chatted and had a good time. She was marking her fabric to work on a quilt that is embroidered. It will be pretty when she's done. She called this quilt she's work on "dead grandma's quilt." I ...

Getting Ready For Presentation Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was a little slow getting up today. I played my game for about 30 minutes and then went walking with Ron. We did 5 laps today.

Came back in and had to get working on the quilts for tomorrow. I had labels that needed to be done.

First was Nancy Smith's. I had to finish the binding on this last night. It's all ready to go.

Another panel quilt, but not an eagle. It will do fine tomorrow, I'm sure. This is one Connie did.

Can't remember who did this one. Either Connie ...

Presentation Day For QOV from Quilting My Way

I had Patrick take out the quilts to the car. I had 7 quilts going to the museum. Then I had 3 left behind. Debbie wasn't there today so Kristi was my second in command and it worked out great.

These are the 5 we presented. All really nice guys. I will post more about them tomorrow. I'm waiting on more photos. When I got them to get closer and moved the table, they quit with the photos. lol So, I am getting them from Kristi.

Afterwards I took the second guy from the left home. He lives ...

Another Busy Day..... from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was woken by the timer on the irrigation system. Guess Patrick decided it was time to get a new one after being woken up 3 days in a row. He actually went on the couch around 5 am this morning.

I ordered the sheepskin seat belt covers that one of you told me about. They came in today and I love them! It feels a lot better against my chest! Thank you!

Got up and tried to get a few things done before we headed out to Heavenly Quilts to pick up the material we had ordered ...

Today Is A Good Day from Quilting My Way

Was up around 5:30 am and went back to bed but couldn't sleep. got up at 6:15 am. I tried to be quiet and let Patrick sleep, so I sat and played my games.

Then I realized I needed to shower and get moving for walking with Ron today. Katt called around the time I needed to walk. After that was over, I called him. He had the same issue; he was chatting with his son. So, we ended up going about 30 minutes later than usual. We walked 6 times around the neighborhood. It was awesome ...

Two Busy Days - Trips To Olympia from Quilting My Way

Yesterday Patrick went golfing, and I walked with Ron. I was having issues with my stomach and didn't want to leave the bathroom too far away! lol Ron and I walked 5 laps and I tried to get the 6th in but couldn't get past my mailbox without having to run in the house.

So, when Patrick came home from golf, he wanted to go get his blood drawn for his appointment next week. I stayed behind and worked on my beading. Was able to get 1 row stitched on and half a row set to stitch. Patrick ...

Working On Quilt Tops from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was in pain. I tried to sleep a little longer, but it wasn't to be.

I got up and played on my tablet. Then I decided I needed to get moving and not worry about the pain. So, I headed downstairs to work on another panel quilt.

I was having a bit of trouble deciding what to do with this one. Then after talking to Patrick - after he came back from golfing - we decided on strips. I did what I always do, miss counted and ended up doing the 5 strips instead of 3, which is ...

Monday - Yet Again! from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and ready to leave early....or I thought I was. By the time I was trying to figure out my magnifying light, it was past time I wanted to leave. I thought I had a battery to my magnifier and found out it's USB ported. DAH! So, I screwed it back up and then was ready to go. I charged the light before I left - like 5 minutes. Then I charged it in the car as well.

Had to stop at moms, and she wasn't up yet. She popped her head out when she ...

Day Before Memorial Day - Quilt Top Done from Quilting My Way

This morning. I enjoyed being able to sleep in. When I did get up, I made some blueberry muffins for breakfast. I really love the recipe I have. They turned out great.

Walked with Ron. We got a good 5 laps in; I couldn't do any more. Then he wanted to show me his flowers. I fell in love with the climbing flower. I'm not sure what it is, but it's big and pretty.

He bought some roses for the yard as well. He's going to put them in the back. They were really pretty, but ...
