Last week was the anniversary of my paternal father's suicide. It also would have been my step-dad's birthday. It's always a tough week for me and especially my Momma. Almost Amish??

I have some Amish friends in Berlin, Ohio. When the kids were younger, we used to take a weekend and camp on their farm. There were 3 farm ponds for them to play in and it was a great getaway for us. Sometimes my sister and her 3 kids would go with us. Sometimes my almost brother and his 3 kids would go with us. Sometimes it was both. Not Quite Ready for a 12-Step Program

I was more intentional this year when ordering seeds. I save seeds. I love to save seeds. I haven't, however, been able to save all the varieties I want to save. While shopping for seeds this year, I deliberately chose items I wanted to save seeds from.
These are just the flowers I ordered from Baker Creek. I also ordered a few from Seed Savers and Bluestone Perennials. A lot of these were chosen for pollinator attraction/feed as well as their defensive mechanisms against garden pests.
