Too Many Quilts?! from Lovin' Life At The End Of The Dirt Road

I know. I know. No such thing if you're a quilter, but with this eminent move, my perspective is shifting. You can organize and live with your things and be perfectly happy, but when you move, suddenly it all becomes too much and I am approaching the age of 'less'. I currently have 5 quilt ladders (made by my FIL). This one has been in our dining roomOur girl has two others and one of

I'm a Texan now! And a Cross Stitch WIP Parade from Pointless Quilter

Early December, three girlfriends and I and my two puppies headed East to my new home in Texas.  It was an adventure for sure considering my dogs never took more than a ride to the vets office and once we got here I had them go with us everywhere--to restaurants and walking in touristy towns.  They did considerable well I'm happy to say.

Deo, the dogs and I in one car
Rita and her friend Melissa drove the U-haul.

Hurley liked to look out the window - and fell asleep.

Once the movers got here we unloaded everything and then ...

Moving, a Journey from Terificreations's Weblog

I’ve started walking around the hotel parking lot while listening to Pokey Bolton’s Instagram conversations with quilting peeps. Hotel parking lot you say? Why yes. The physical move from NY to TX is about 1/2 complete. We arrived in Texas on Thursday evening after four days on the road. While at one hotel I’d made… Continue reading Moving, a Journey

Imagine from Terificreations's Weblog

The possibilities are endless, the potential is great, and I’m looking forward to figuring it out. Things are up in the air at the moment, and while there is nothing I can do about the up-in-the-airness of it all I can imagine, and dream. This is a reference to a potential home in Texas and… Continue reading Imagine

Hi, all!

Wow, is it Monday already?  This week absolutely flew by - but it's time to take stock of what got done, and see what's up next!  So let's see how last week's list went...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Time Is A Gift... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Here we are at the end of the week once again - Friday has arrived and it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?  Let's go!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

It has been quite a week around here - it started off with finally getting the carpet laid in the office....

Now, that may seem like a funny thing to whoop about, but the first time the carpet guys came was way back on January 30th - and it took three trips and three weeks to get the right piece of carpet to finish this room!  But it ...

Make-A-List Monday - Better Late Than Never! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

I am more than a little bit behind this week, it appears - since it's Tuesday night and I'm watching This Is Us while I write this blogpost!  But it's been a good week - in addition to working on my list, we FINALLY got the carpet done in my husband's office (third time is the charm, apparently!) and we found some floor in the garage.

So let's take a look at last week's list....

1.  Finish getting Jolene and her frame set up and connected.
Done!  It's so nice to have her ...

Make-A-List Monday - Guess Who's Back? from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day... did you ever wonder why you couldn't trust Monday?  I actually like Monday and the fresh start it gives us!  And today's was especially fun, as the grandkids were out of school and I got to spend time with them.  I'm going to like living closer!

But enough about that - let's see how last week's list went.  (Please bear in mind that I had a wicked cold most of last week that is just now vacating the premises...)

1.  Work on organizing/setting up the quilt ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Things Are Looking Up! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

It seems like forever since last Friday, but guess what?  It's rolled around again, and it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?  Let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

This week has been dedicated to getting things in order at our new home.  Granted, I've been doing that while battling a cold - why do we always seem to get colds at the most inopportune times? But I have made some headway in the process.

First off, I moved some furniture around up in my sewing studio...

...and now I have seating areas ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Moving Day Has Come And Gone... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Sorry for the silence this week, but I'm back again with something to whoop about!  Good thing, too, since it's Friday and time for us to get our whoop whoop on, right?  So let's get started!

Make-A-List Monday - Back To The Real World Again! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Wow, it's back to the real world, for sure!  Monday rolled around and I really hit the ground running - we had an appointment set up to have the new house measured for carpeting and that turned out to be 8 o'clock!  So an early start, then I went over to take care of the grands for a few hours while my daughter went to a meeting. That was a lot of fun, as I had definitely missed my nana time while we were away.  Then it was back to the house to start packing again!

We ...

Springtime In Illinois from Dora Quilts

I know this blog is long overdue for an update. The last year and more have been full of mostly amazing changes. My chemo was completed near the end of last May.  I'm still recovering from the effects of the chemo and the surgery that preceded it. I'm working hard to build strength, but it's a great challenge. Most other aspects of my life have undergone tremendous changes as well. (My most
