Off To Olympia from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days I didn't do much. I did get my walking in - 7 laps. The weather has been weird. We get rain, then wind, then rain. Can't make up it's mind.

Around noon, we headed to Olympia for Patrick to get his port flushed. We both needed our blood done as well. There were 11 people ahead of me, so I waited.

After that we went to Dick's Brewery. We hadn't been there in awhile. So, we decided to stop on the way home. Poor Patrick had trouble walking since he ...

Actually Enjoyed The Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing. Then I got started on some Quilts of Valor stuff. We have a meeting on Thursday and wanted to be organized. I got my outline and what I want to talk about done. Then I worked on getting the dishwasher going and vacuuming. Debbie called and Val texted, so was busy with that too.

Then I pulled out my beading. Patrick turned the TV off and slept. I worked on my ornament, trying to get it done as well.

I finished the top of the ornament. It went pretty fast considering. I had to get ...

Another Weekend Over from Quilting My Way

Patrick and I enjoyed sleeping in.

Since I didn't do much of anything yesterday, I didn't bother posting. It was one of those days that I didn't feel like doing anything.  I did listen to my book on tape.  And I sat and played games.

This morning I got busy cleaning. I started laundry before walking 7 laps. I wanted to stop at 6 laps but told myself I needed this walk.

Came in and got back to cleaning. Got the dishwasher unloaded. Then sat to play games and play my games.

Finished one of two panels ...

Rainy, Boring Day from Quilting My Way

This morning it was raining so Patrick didn't golfing. Almost wish he had.

I walked 4 lap with Patrick and 3 laps on my own. It started raining again in the last 2 laps.

Got mad at Patrick.  I had my ear buds in after he left me. He even saw me put them in. Came in the house and he started talking. Stopped my ear buds to listen. Then he shut up. I waited and he didn't say anything.  Turned the buds back on and he started talking again. He got frustrated with me because I had ...

Honored A Veteran Today from Quilting My Way

I got up, took my walk around the neighborhood.  Was able to get 5 laps in before I need to pick Debbie up. We had an appointment with Chip and Sam at 10 am. We stopped first to pick up our drinks.

We arrived to find the museum busy.  We waited on Chip for our meeting.  While we waited, we found out our Recruiter that got missed at our Presentation was there. He is being reassigned to TX. So we took the time and got him presented with a quilt. It was awesome to give him a quilt.  I didn ...

Date Night from Quilting My Way

I actually slept in today. I didn't get up in time to do gates with my team. 10:30 am I was up and in the shower.

Then Patrick wanted his toffee. First things first. Need to do kitty litter and vacuum.  He helped me vacuum by moving the furniture to get the stuff underneath.  Once all that was done, we went into the kitchen and worked on the toffee.

I think it's thick and suggested we make it thinner next time. It was quick and easy. Mom came over and I gave her some fabrics for her ...

Yet Another Trip To Olympia from Quilting My Way

We were up at 6 am and out the door by 6:45 am. My first appointment was at 8 am. We were early  and actually got in early for my next 2 appointments. My breathing test went great. Walking test just as good. Patrick had to leave for his appointment when I was called in to see the doctor.  He said things are going good and he will see me in 6 months. I then walked down  the street to Kaiser. Patrick was already in his appointment.  Told him I would wait by pharmacy.  I didn't wait too ...

Olympia And Back from Quilting My Way

I enjoyed what little time we had before heading to Olympia by cleaning up around the house and laundry.

We went for Patrick's MRI appointment.  It was quiet because the only things open were the ergant care, blood test, radiology,  and prescriptions.

Back home with the day gone. We had stopped at Safeway for a few things. We even picked up dinner, fried chicken.  It was really good.

I wasn't in the mood for much. Still trying to figure out what I am going to do about a couple of people in my group that want me to ...

A Rainy Saturday from Quilting My Way

Woke this morning to rain. I played my game because we had a battle to do.

After that was over, Patrick went to work on the well stuff. While he was gone I vacuumed.  Then I headed into our computer room. Needed to get a few things done.  I have two boxes ready for shipping.  I dried the wrinkles out of the backing fabric I washed. My list for stuff to do on Monday is long.

Then I wanted to get back to my beading.

I was able to get a bit more done. I do like the way this ...

A Week Of Appointments from Quilting My Way

This morning it felt good to sleep in and little. I did some cleaning and picking up. Then went walking.

While I was getting my walk in I had to make phone calls to fix a mess with our group.  I believe it's solved but not sure.  Time will tell on this.

Then it was time to head to Olympia for yet another doctor appointment.  This time it was my oncology appointment.  My mammogram was Tuesday and the good news is there wasn't any sign of cancer. Now I am scheduled for another 3 month check up. After ...

A Day To Have Fun from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing and I cleaned up. I pulled up my pattern for the kit I bought a while back. Was thinking of getting it started. Applique is calling to me. I printed the first 10 block patterns.

Then Patrick came home. He wanted to go yo the casino.  We drove down to Ilona. It's an hour south. I like that casino better. Since it's that far away, think we will only go occasionally.  We were there a good 4 hours.  We won some and lost it all.

Monday Embroidery from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing and I went to embroidery.  I stopped off at the post office to find it closed. I told someone going in and he said, "Oh. Columbus Day." So. I headed to embroidery.

I worked on my Seattle piece. Decided to add color to my Space Needle.  I think it looks better. Still have a lot to do.

Tried to stop at Copy Depot but they were closed as well.  So came on home.

Helped Patrick get some butternut squash in the freezer as well as the berry pie I made. Of course Patrick had 2 ...

Enjoyed A Play Today from Quilting My Way

This morning we cleaned the house.

Then I worked on my potholder.  Didn't get very far as we need to head to the play. I had to finish laundry when we got back. First we headed to Phil's, then to Safeway in Centralia.  I wanted the mini croissants. Of course they didn't have any. I will go back to Costco for them. I did get 6, but they are a good $1 a piece. Cheaper at Costco.

We went to the play, "Arsenic and Old Lace." It was awesome! I kept laughing! It was well done. They ...

Quilts of Valor Presentation from Quilting My Way

Today was our presentation day. It went great. We gave 6 quilts out to 6 veterans that are firefighters.  We even had a visitor that is the leader of Mossyrock.  Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to talk to her.

We had one veteran ask that no photos be taken.  We honored his wishes.

Came home and my washer was in and running.  Patrick did 2 loads of laundry.

Getting Ready For My New Washer from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing today. I walked 7 laps on my own, listening to my books on tape.  I enjoyed getting lost in my books.

I helped Patrick move the dryer out of the laundry room. It turned out easier than I expected.  The washer is heavy. At least we asked them to take the washer away when they come. We only had to move it for easy access.

The dryer is in the dining room right now.

I played my games today.

Then remembered I needed to get the certificates done for tomorrow.  Got word today that 2 of them ...

A So- So Day from Quilting My Way

I was up before Patrick,  but then he was having another bad day. Wonder if he got a cold or something but then he wasn't sniffing or sneezing.  Temperature was normal. He was just not 100%. So most of the day he laid on the couch or slept in the chair off and on. He had football on all day long.

I listened to my books on tape. Finished one and started another.  I played some but worked on my beading. I finished the second panel of the first set of two. Now I am a third done.

Out And About from Quilting My Way

This morning I didn't go to moms for Quilting. Just wasn't in the mood.  Good thing too, because my headache wouldn't have been able to handle it. My game had a war challenge that I signed up for. So, I played that. Then I cleaned up the kitchen putting away the dishes. Was trying to figure out lunch when Patrick got back from golfing.  We shared left overs.

Then he was ready to leave. We went down passed Kelso to the casino there. We spent a good 4 hours there, didn't spend a lot. We then ...

Out Running Around from Quilting My Way

This morning I had to get mom and take her to Olympia.  She needed a root canal done. She was going up with Nancy because it was our embroidery group meeting day. I had to cancel the meeting.  I wasn't happy about it. Mom never checks with me on her appointments and I have to cancel my plans every time. We were up in Olympia a good 2 hrs. Then headed home and stopped at Dairy Queen for a milk shake and fries. The milk shake was like drinking milk. Not ice cream. I won't be going back ...

Interesting Day from Quilting My Way

Was up early.  Nothing new there.

Ron and I walked 5 laps. Patrick was out in the yard doing all kinds of things. He was working on the water faucets. Cleaned some of the garden up.

I got busy working on some QOV stuff. Talked with Carol about getting the active duty guys done.

Then I started checking our list for Friday.  We are leaving at 7 am and I needed to get the stuff ready for our mini classes. Sandy sent the list that we have floss for. I found the pattern for the Goldfinch birds. I was working ...
