Quilt Finish from Becca's Crazy Projects

I pieced the binding, put it into an easy to apply accordion fold, and got stitching. I used machine-finished binding for this one to finish quickly. You can see how I do that in my tutorial.
That makes my first quilt finish of 2022. I have many more quilts that need finishing so this is just one of many. Have you made a list of things you want to finish this year?

A close-up of the quilting can be found in this post from December 2021.

Long Arm Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

This poor quilt kit spent forever wanting to become a quilt. This past week I got one step closer to fulfilling that dream. I loaded it up and got quilting.
I used this great edge-to-edge design called variety from Anne Bright Designs
It had swirls and flowers much like the border fabric and I thought it was perfect. With so many options it is nice to find the perfect one for a quilt. Now to trim it and get the binding attached.

Quilt Backing Fabric from Becca's Crazy Projects

Over the last year or so, I've been piecing quilts primarily from my collection of fabric. This is a great way to use what you have but I reached the point where the quilts couldn't become true quilts because I do not have a collection of backing fabrics. I stuffed these three quilt tops into my Spring Water Designs bag and headed out for backings. They always have a good selection of wide backing fabric.
First was this kit quilt I made using a kit from one of the big box stores. The blue in the foreground is ...

on the go from Making A Lather

The mint has really done well this year. I have had several versions of mint for years, and, have not done anything with them, except munch on a leaf every now and then. This year, I have started drying them, and making tea with them. I am really enjoying them cold. By now, I don't remember what the names are, I do know, I like the taste of the ones by the rose bush more than the ones in the wash tub.

I cut them back 2xs a week.

these are the best taste.

I found my on the ...

passing through last week . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

Whew!  What a terrific week!  Todd and I usually rent a house on the lake and take a week, but our plans got all shaken up this year due to (what else) and so I thought perhaps the summer might pass us by with no vacay.  But Todd surprised me and I was able to take a week off, and we were able to rent a suite (a bedroom with private bath and a sitting room, with a private entrance) at a Bed & Breakfast in Guntersville – Lake Guntersville Bed & Breakfast – with a stupendous view of the lake, and just a ...

I Finished a Small Thing from 120 Blocks

So that’s how it started. An appliqué kit. Remember those two kits? Well, one of them is now done. I finished it today, and although I’m not happy with how well I did making it, but it is done and … Continue reading

BABY LOVE from Nestlings By Robin

Out on stands now is the
January 2020 issue of AQ magazine.

My new design, BABY LOVE, is
featured within on page 64.
I was very thankful to have Ann Hamel's
(AQ's fantastic editor) advice on
what is trending with baby colors since I
am not a grandma and so a bit out of the loop:)
Once I had my lovely Shadow Play
fabric from Maywood Studios, I
went shopping for some basic thread
and found the perfect pink with my
mother's name:)
Then it was time to get to work
paper piecing these simple little blocks ...
