Whimsy from Bizarre Quilter


The evenings have been filled with loving company on the couch with the beloved, while I sit nearby creating a kantha quilt with raw edge applique that I designed on the hop.



The back is amazing. Who would have thought some Christmas fabric I picked up in 2015 after Christmas for $2 a metre would come up so well as a backing?


I've used a few moda grunge greens and a pink. 


The rest is from an Anna Maria Horner border print and a panel.

Developing a New Class from Alamosa Quilter

 I made this notebook cover several months ago. I thought I had shared it with you but I can't find the post so I guess I forgot!

The notebook cover above is my first attempt. For it I used some Essex Linen Denim color, scraps and size 8 pearl cotton in four variegated colors. I just laid the scraps on the linen and left the edges raw. A running stitch holds everything in place. The scraps are not fused or appliqued to the linen, just sewn on with the running stitches.
