Well, I am so fortunate to be gifted a whole raft of Kaffe fabric squares and pieces- enough to make a comfort quilt from the wonderful Quiltdiva Julie! I oohed and ahhed opening the squishy and I thought of a pattern I bought from Material Girlfriends called Wallah. It calls for cutting up a layer cake into 5" squares. It came together quickly. During production I tried storing the strips on a hanger, which I had not tried before, but certainly will again.

This idea is easily adapted to any color scheme and is good for using all those small-but-not-too-small scraps that result from everyday quilting.

The pattern is not available now but it is no published in a book called Stunning 3-D Quilts Simplified by The Quilters Clinic in Fife Lake Michigan.
