Can Artificial Intelligence write better than a human? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

While not much was done in the decluttering world yesterday, I still have lots to share about the previous day.

I spent a good part of yesterday writing a blog post. The subject matter was easy, but I struggled with it. It's one thing to pop off some writing that is just fluff - like in this blog. But when it comes to something a bit more technical, it needs to be written so it's straightforward and easy for others to understand.

So I ran up and down the stairs to double-check facts on the sewing machine, and I ...

You know you're in trouble when................ from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I admit that my grammar is not my strong point, and I hated English in school. All those rules about dangling participles or whatever they are called and what verb tense to use, and let's not confuse worse and worst! I admit that my grammar (hopefully) has improved somewhat with all the writing I've done over the years, and I have to thank Grammarly for that.

I would say the most significant error for me is being too verbose! I add words like "do" and "that" and others that do not add value to the sentence and make ...

How much is too much? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

How much time does one want to spend managing their stuff, or if I tell you how I really feel -- the crap accumulated over the years. For those of you that never let it collect -- I applaud you, but WHERE were you years ago when I needed someone to tell me NOT to buy so much. See how easy it is to pass the blame on to someone else! Sorry for that! NO -- I take full responsibility for the mess I created and take 100% responsibility for cleaning it up!

It doesn't matter what's happened in the past ...

There goes the neighborhood from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

 OH!

So remember that pretty landscaping in my new front yard?

Did I show you a picture of the lights at night?

This is what it looks like from my front door. A few soft lights illuminate the walkway. There are FOUR lights in total, including the one around the corner by the side gate.

My new front yard at night

WELL -- our new neighbor, two doors down, had lights installed at her house yesterday. I feel like we moved to Disneyland overnight. There are MANY lights on that house now (there were none before), and they are BRIGHT LEDs ...

A rescue mission from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Another super day! Hey -- we have to look at each and every day with open eyes. We can choose to be sad or upset with events going on or choose to be happy. I CHOOSE to be happy!

I have a new class this afternoon on Color Theory! YES --- I'm so excited about the class, and I've spent a bit of time ripping the house apart looking for certain items. Most of it was in one spot, so that was good. But I cannot find one particular quilt.

Searching for a quilt

I swear it's in the ...

All in a Day's Work from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

The other day, several of the Monday sewing group talked about their screen time and how they felt they weren't necessarily the most productive they could be. Now, if you are retired, does it matter how productive you are? Not exactly, but if you want to spend more time on your hobbies - quilting, reading, gardening, exercise, or chatting with friends or whatever, it does make sense to see how you're spending the day.

So one of the ladies is using a tracking app to track what she does in a day. I can't remember the name of ...

The backyard from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I couldn't help myself. When I got home from Monday sewing (I left early as I had things to do at home), I made my urgent phone calls and then I went into the backyard. It was such a beautiful day, I couldn't resist. I played ball with Murphy for a bit and Lexi and I hung out. But then it was time for ME. I dug out my favorite blue chair from the shed. I sat on the deck for a short while and then decided to move to the gazebo.

I know  - it's not even ...

Pleats and tucks from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Another great day with lots of stuff completed. The best part? Last night, I went to my dressmaking class TOTALLY prepared. It felt great to go and not have to make excuses (to myself). I'm the only one who really cares, but it doesn't look great when you're always making excuses or don't have the homework completed. I was even prepared for making samples last night and took my own sewing machine. More on that tomorrow.

I had to play catchup on the samples that were due last week. Making pleats, tucks, and darts, I had ...

Sleepless................ from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I hate it when you wake up and then can't get back to sleep. Why is that? I tried reading - a novel and a non-fiction. Neither worked. I emptied my head of all the things that I need to get done this week by writing them done. That didn't work. I had a wee snack since I was a bit peckish. Petted the dogs. Finally, after a couple of hours, I went back to sleep, but that put my morning out of sorts.

Oh well - thankfully that doesn't happen every night as I'd go mad.

It ...
