The Tattoo quilt, block 5 — from A Prim and (not so) Proper Quilter

Grace — a topic near and dear to me.

Grace is one of those things that means a lot to some people, including myself. Prevenient grace was something I knew nothing about prior to my baptism, but embraced post-conversion. The older I get, the more I practice giving grace to others; and now I’m trying to give myself more grace—it’s easier now than it was earlier in my life.

While Grace in this context may not be what the pattern designer meant when she designed this block, it’s how I’m seeing it. While a swan may ...

Twixmas? from From the Strawberry Patch...

A blog-reading friend sent me the link to another blogger  who recently had a most interesting post regarding Twixmas. The term was new to me, but once I read the post I understood fully why my friend had forwarded it to me. After that last post regarding the self-imposed "grace period" granted between Christmas and New Year's, I learned that, according to this afore-mentioned blogger, what I was

It's A Wrap! from From the Strawberry Patch...

And just like that, it would seem, another Christmas has come and gone... or has it? We're still in the Christmas season and these days following Christmas Day can be just as much of a gift as the day itself! In my "rush, rush, hurry, hurry" frame of mind during those days leading up to the 25th I had to back-burner a few things that I had really wanted, and fully intended, to get done before the

Hi there and thanks for dropping by. This month we are debuying our beautiful Lizabeth, the next figure in our Generations Paper Dolls. Generations - a New Series of Historical Paper Dolls from easypatchwork

After several years of being a quilt and quilt block designer, I have developed a passion to create mix and matchable figures especially females. This love and desire stems from a childhood hobby of drawing barbie dolls with different outfits. Did you also design clothing for your dolls?

New Paper Dolls Series

After taking a very long break from quilting, designing, and sewing, I sat down one day and just "doodled" - designing on the computer. I wanted to see if I could create a new figure with a historial flair. After several hours of diligent changes, Quilter Grace was created ...

Tuesday' Thoughts: Psalm 15. To Do Tuesday. "I Like". Quilting Projects, Crocheting, New Recipes, Social Media Posts from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Tuesday's Thoughts
When I read Psalms 15:1, my heart began to beat a little faster as my anxiety rose.  Would I be accepted in our LORD's sacred tent, welcomed to live with Him?
As I read the following requirements, my heart fell as I saw a list of my failings.....until Jesus Christ spoke to me.  We can choose to see the following list as list of our failings or a list of our accomplishments (for lack of a better word).  Perhaps it is even a combination of both!

Read it.

Go ahead.

What do you see ...

More Than a Building from From the Strawberry Patch...

Blessings abound this Holy Week! Just a little over five years ago our small mission church began worshiping in shared space in the beautiful chapel of a local funeral home. We developed a wonderful relationship with the staff there as we came together every Sunday morning for more than 250 services. Life was good, but it wasn't our own space. As a congregation we dreamed big and prayed for that

With Grace, Love, And Fellowship from Adele Mogavero

Grace, Love, and Fellowship. I think it’s a perfect description of quilting. Especially when you’re creating something and gifting it to someone. It’s an expression of love. The three blocks we’re creating this week are so similar, it seemed like a great idea to do ....
