Plans - What Is That?! from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and ready to get moving. I had plans to go walking, clean the kitty litter, clean the kitchen, and do laundry. At the same time work on my Christmas beading project.

Well, Heck No! That wasn't what the universe had planned for me! Instead, I got laundry going. Then was ready to go clean the cat box when I got my phone call from my cousin.

Which turned out to be 3 hours of genealogy time. MATHESON family is HUGE!! I must have entered 200 names with him on the phone. BUT WAIT! There ...

A Day of Family History from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was just cleaning up a bit. Not as much as I normally do. Patrick did more cleaning then I did.

I decided to work on my genealogy this afternoon. In the morning, I played games, but decided I needed to work on my genealogy and fix what I had wrong.

So, I started out with the MATHESON family. Fixing the Henry Matheson family since he was married twice and I had his wife having an "unknown" father to Henry's children. That had to be fixed and only took a couple minutes. I was having trouble downloading ...

A Little Of This And That from Quilting My Way

This morning, I tried to sleep in. No such luck!

Got up and played on my computer. Got to play a couple games. Then I went downstairs and tried to get more done on the quilt.

I was able to get the 2 center stars hooked together. They are ready to attach the 10" strips to them on the top and bottom. I cut a few of the 10" strips and called it done.

Sophie was trying to get attention. She kept coming around in front of me so I couldn't cut the fabric. I worked on what I ...

Presentation Day & Genealogy from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was enjoying the morning. I knew I would be busy today, so just played on my tablet.

Then I was off to Dutch Brothers for coffee. I got Debbie's coffee and my tea. Then head over to the museum. Since Debbie couldn't be there when I was, I had to do a lot of the work on my own. I asked the gals to change the tables for presentation and get the quilts ready. They folded them wrong, so asked them to fix it. Then thanked them for the work. That didn't seem to ...

Did What I Said I Would Do from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days where I could get stuff done. I cleaned up first. Had to get laundry going and clean the kitty box. Then I headed downstairs.

I pulled out fabrics for the patterns we have to make quilts for QOV. I needed larger pieces of fabric, but that's okay, I worked with what we had. Patrick came down and he helped me out. He pulled a lot of the fabrics to go with the patterns.

By the time we were done, we had 6 quilt patterns with the fabrics. It's now ready for 6 ...

Genealogy And A Movie from Quilting My Way

This morning, I had planned to work on quilt patterns and genealogy. Patrick said we could go to the movies at 2 pm, so I needed to get moving for the movies.

I entered the information that Bryan sent to me this last week. I knew he would be calling me.

I have probably entered about 50 to 100 names today. Filled in more information and then decided to get back on ancestry to get more documents to prove what I have.

We the headed to the movies. We were watching "Snow White" and it was great! I loved the ...

Trying To Move More Today from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and enjoying the morning. Patrick was going out to work in the yard and I wanted to get some walking in. I walked 3 laps around the neighborhood and was chatting with Ron on the phone. Made his day when I told him I was only getting 3 laps in.

Came in to have the house to myself while Patrick was outside. Then halfway through my show, my cousin called, and I ended up spending close to 2 hours with him on the phone. We worked on the family history. I was entering information while ...

Genealogy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was running behind. I had to get moving for walking. We did 5 laps around the neighborhood but thought we did 6 till I realized I was counting wrong on my tees. We had stopped and chatted with Kevin Hubbert and thought we counted wrong. After I got home, I figured out we did. Oh, well.

I spend the rest of the day till 4 pm working on family history. I was adding a few things on Findagrave. I was also putting obit information into my program. It was long but it needed to be done. I ...

A Quiet Day But Good Day from Quilting My Way

Do you ever have a day when your ear is stuck to the phone? Well that's pretty much what my day was. One phone call after another First was Ron reminding me to walk at 11 am.

Then it was mom talking about the photos I left behind. One of the photos was of our grandfather, Solon True and Sara Birge True. They were a lot younger, but we could tell. It was nice to see them.

Then Connie called asking about how we are doing on the quilts. Presentation is Thursday, so I need to work on the ...

Enjoying The Day! from Quilting My Way

Today was another one of those days where I could sleep in if I wanted, but it didn't happen. Ron was volunteering at the food bank today, so we didn't go walking. Patrick and I walked instead. It's a good walk where we chat about stuff we don't normally chat about.

After that I decided to pull out the box of genealogy stuff to organize it and get ready to enter information into the family tree. That took a couple hours as I needed to go through the photos as well. I had Patrick take the ...

Another Saturday from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early. Patrick changed the sheets today instead of tomorrow because he wanted to get the new mattress heater on. We lost the heat on his side of the bed. He decided he wasn't going to wait for the fall to get another one since it's still cold at night. He was warming his feet on my side of the bed when we went to bed. It was getting comical.

I was playing games and then decided I needed to work on my leaves for tomorrow's class. I got one started. At least ...

Spending The Afternoon On Genealogy from Quilting My Way

Of course, Patrick wanted to go grocery shopping this morning. I wanted to get it done and over with so I could get on the computer to work on genealogy. We went shopping and, on the way, stopped to drop off some batting and backing for Linda Nelson to quilt the quilt she has for us. I had to cut that before we left.

Patrick spent part of the day on the computer for moms' taxes. So, while he was on, I played games. Then it was time for me to get on.

I wanted to get some of Bryan ...

What A Day! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and got moving right away. I vacuumed the house, got laundry going and then took a break. I was still moving on washing and cleaning when Patrick arrived. He was off golfing. I was surprised I didn't even touch the tablet till after everything was done. Once Patrick got home, I walked my 7 laps.

Came in and then sat to play for awhile. Then I remembered my list on the counter, and went to cancel my ancestry account. While I was at it, I wanted to move my Family Tree Maker to the ...

Hello Hump Day! from Quilting My Way

Okay, Patrick went golfing today. That was nice. Trouble was he didn't stay away long enough! lol

I had to get a few things done for tomorrow. I'm working on getting the quilts labeled and ready to go. Then I had to get a backing and batting done for Connie. Once that was done, I put the quilts by the door to remember to take them. I have 2 quilts for mom to do the bindings on. Then I looked all over the place for the paper that I wrote our check list on. I texted Debbie and ...

Funeral For Bert Connell - Family from Quilting My Way

Today we had to head up to Port Orchard after picking mom up. The funeral was at 1 pm and the truck "parade" was at 12:15. We wanted to get there around the time of the parade.

When we got to moms, we figured we had about 10 mins or so to kill. We sat and chatted for a little bit. Then we headed out. On the way we were notified there was an accident on the bridge and a disabled car on the road. Thank goodness it was cleared by the time we went across the Tacoma Narrows ...

This Time It WAS Sunday from Quilting My Way

This morning I was pretty lazy....actually all day. I wanted to get one of my games done today and played on it most of the day. I worked on laundry...which had piled up. I still have some to do, but I'm caught up pretty good right now.

Mom kept calling me today. She had one thing or another she wanted to talk to me about. That went on all day. I should have ignored her calls.

I worked on the family history today. Had someone ask about the family of the Mathesons. I sent back the message ...

Genealogy from Quilting My Way

Today I worked on my genealogy for Bryan. He called yesterday and then sent me a few texts on what he needed information on. I gave him some information, but I didn't have what he has.

I worked on the MATHESON family. That is my grandmother's maiden name. It's amazing how much information I have on this family and yet not enough. He has been working on the different branches of the family and filling them in for me. His Uncle Dallas passed away a few months ago. It was a shame since mom was hoping to ...

Working On Genealogy from Quilting My Way

This morning I enjoyed sleeping in a little. I was ready to go walking with Ron. Had to call him because he wasn't out there. He was chatting with his son and didn't think I was going to walk today. He kept thinking it was Friday. At 94 years old, who can blame him.

Today is my nephew's birthday. What fun. He's the same age as Phil.

I pretty much spend the afternoon between tomato sauce and genealogy.

This is the last of the tomatoes for the year. Patrick took out the plant because they were ...

Not A Craft Day from Quilting My Way

Today I was up later than usual. I hate the sun coming in that early in the morning. I sat and played games while I waited for Patrick to get up.

After a while I figured Patrick wanted to go shopping, so that is what we did. When we got home Debbie was here dropping off a quilt and some fabric that will work with the panel I need to work on. I will be taking some fabrics to Connie and then dropping off some quilts for mom. I don't want to stay long with the quilt group. I ...
