Still Waiting For That Day....... from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up about the time Patrick was leaving for golf. I played for awhile and then I headed out the door.

My dental appointment was at 10:30 am. I decided on a new dentist and I found that I really like this guy better than the one I had. Worst part of it is that I haven't been in over a year. So, this time they checked my teeth and found I needed to get 3 of my fillings redone because of cracks. Then he told me I needed a month guard at bed. He ...

Another Trip To Olympia from Quilting My Way

Today we enjoyed being able to sleep in. Today wasn't a day I walked with Ron. He was going golfing with one of his sons.

We headed out to Safeway and got some groceries we needed. Also got a Birthday card for Sister-in-law. Then came home. Put everything away and then headed out to Olympia.

I had my ultrasound for my thyroid. Hopefully it will be fine. I don't need another thing going wrong.

Came home - again - and I decided I needed to get the quilts ready for the museum.

The label that Stitch'n Peace put on ...

Embroidery Day At The Grange from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was out the door and on my way to the grange. I stopped and got a Chai tea at the coffee stand. It's more expensive than the Dutch Brothers I go to. Plus, the taste is a little different, even though I know they use the same ingrediencies.

It was just Geralyn and me today. We chatted and had a good time. She was marking her fabric to work on a quilt that is embroidered. It will be pretty when she's done. She called this quilt she's work on "dead grandma's quilt." I ...

Getting Ready For Presentation Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was a little slow getting up today. I played my game for about 30 minutes and then went walking with Ron. We did 5 laps today.

Came back in and had to get working on the quilts for tomorrow. I had labels that needed to be done.

First was Nancy Smith's. I had to finish the binding on this last night. It's all ready to go.

Another panel quilt, but not an eagle. It will do fine tomorrow, I'm sure. This is one Connie did.

Can't remember who did this one. Either Connie ...

Friday Finish: Pink & Green Scrap Quilt from Urban Quilter

Pink & Green Beer Quilt
I finished quilting the pink and green scrap quilt that Lisa and I made together. I also ended up doing the binding because I had 3 days of online webinars this week so had a lot of hand-sewing time.

I think it came out very well and as soon as the label is done (on Lisa's task list) we can give it to our friend for whom we made it.

This was my One Monthly Goal for June.

Cross Stitch Finish: Though He Seemeth Sleeping from Jo's Country Junction

Oh my…I am loving this one. Here’s my finish of Thought He Seemeth Sleeping by Lucy Beam. I started this for my birthday in December. Then I set it aside knowing that my cancer treatment would be happening soon and this would be the perfect thing to stitch during that time. The verse says:Dark the …

Working On Embroidery Today from Quilting My Way

This morning, I took my time getting to the grange. I took my "goldwork" piece with me. I wanted to see if I could finish it. I wasn't feeling great when I left. But I wanted to be with friends.

I am happy to say, I finished the project! I have more unfinished projects out there, but this was so much fun to work on. I like it!! The center is beads and I wanted to make it look full but not overly so.

I brought it home to see if Patrick could put it on the trinket box ...

One Of My Busier Days from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick left for golf. I was glad he's back to golfing. I wonder about the chemo he's on now.

After he left, I got up and got ready to go walking with Ron. We decided to make it early today. Then came in and decided to work on my puzzle while playing my game.

I finally finished it. I think it's really cute and was a lot of fun to work on. It's done, and tomorrow I will clean it up. May give it to mom to see if she wants to put it ...

Taking Each Day As It Comes from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was enjoying sleeping in. Patrick was up before me. He was feeling better today than he was yesterday.

Since he's here all day, he wasn't too thrilled with me being on my tablet most of the day. Oh, well. It keeps me calm and it's easy for me to get lost in it. He just doesn't like it that I'm chatting with others on it as well. Big deal.

I worked on Gunderson stuff. Then I worked on my blood pressure information for my nurse to have. I filled out the paperwork ...

Visiting With Friends from Quilting My Way

Today I was up with Patrick. He headed to golfing and I wanted on Gerilyn to pick me up. We had our embroidery meeting today.

We arrived on time with Sandy and Cindy there. Sandy 2 from Ocean Shores came today as well. It was so good to see everyone! We sat and chatted. Then mom called and asked if she could visit, told her I was at the grange and she could come over. She did.

I worked on my goldwork. I'm so close to finishing this now!

I finished the greenery and buds. I found by looking ...

Keep Hoping This Will Be Over...... from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was up and out the door for golfing. I slept in. I wasn't in the mood to get up.

I finally got up and just sat playing games. I was able to get my chart done as well. I need to make that up on the computer and send it to my PT for my heart nurse.

Patrick got home and I pulled out the quilts to label them. One of them I don't know who made it, so it won't be labeled till I do.

This one was from Stitch'N Peace. They ...

Cross Stitch Finish: Forever Thine from Jo's Country Junction

I have a cross-stitch finish to share with you. I finished my Forever Thine Strawberry. It is so incredibly cute…like cuteness overload. A blog reader sent the chart to me. THANKS!!! The piece is called Forever Thine and is by Erica Michaels. I loved stitching it but I’ll be honest, the finishing instructions were lacking. …

I Tried To Behaving - Really I Did! from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing and I got up just before he left. I wanted to play the game early because of the time they had the challenge.

I then decided I wanted to help with laundry, so I carried a load 3 times to the washing machine. I let Patrick know it was he's after that. Then I pulled out a quilt to put a label on.

I labeled this one and wanted to do one more but Sandy and Jeannette were coming to see me today.

Sandy and Jeannette arrived around 1 pm. It was so good ...

Trying To Get Back To Normal from Quilting My Way

Patrick was up before me today. I was a little slow in getting up. He was cleaning up the house today because my mom and brother asked if they could come over. We agreed they would come around 1 or 2.

Patrick did all the housework, which made me feel bad. I can't do any of it for another couple weeks. It's hard watching him do it all when I want to help. I did put some whites in the laundry and add some stuff to the dishwasher. That was about all I could do.

Patrick (brother), Christine ...

Finished Another Project from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick and I slept in. We didn't feel like getting up. So, it felt good to just relax and not worry about anything.

When we did get up, we got moving. Then we watched a couple shows. I decided I needed to finish the beading on the berries.

It is now finished. I'm happy with it. It's not the best. I did learn a lot from this piece.

I was thinking I could put this on a "trinket box" but then Patrick said he wasn't that crazy about it. He did like it but ...

Cross Stitch Finish: Christmas Garden from Jo's Country Junction

Yahoo…It’s back and finished!! This is my Christmas Garden piece from Blackbird Designs. It is a Blackbird Design chart from the book Home for the Holidays. If you ever want to stitch this and are stitching on 40-count linen, you don’t need as much floss as the pattern calls for. I also want to note that …

Back To Work - 4 Finished Quilts from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing. While he was gone, I started laundry, vacuumed, and took my walk. I started doing my exercises in the morning again. I did realize that I will not do the one where I am on all 4's. Those brought back the pain in my hip. Told Patrick I wasn't doing them again. Walking is my best bet and I have been doing that. Walked 5 laps today. Not quite 7 but it was way too cold. Between the wind and the rain, I gave it up.

I played games again this afternoon. BUT ...
