Good morning, my friends. Brrrrrr....we're having some pretty darned cold weather here. It isn't cold enough to snow...yet...but I just about froze my tush off yesterday while I was out filling the bird feeders. I'd been out among the English to get my pedicure. There were no issues during my outing...which is unusual, because I can always find something to whine about once I leave the Three Cats Ranch. My toes were done, and I headed for home without incident. Once home, I got under the covers and pre-heated myself before going out ...

Good morning, my friends. We have a pretty view of Mt. St. Helens this morning. We've been having some very nice weather, and we're expecting it to continue into next week. After last week's deluge, it's nice to see some blue sky and sunshine. And with what's happening in California right now, I'm not complaining about the rain...just acknowledging it. There are worse things than rainy days.

Good morning, my friends. We have a pretty view of Mt. St. Helens this morning. We've been having some very nice weather, and we're expecting it to continue into next week. After last week's deluge, it's nice to see some blue sky and sunshine. And with what's happening in California right now, I'm not complaining about the rain...just acknowledging it. I'll admit that Easter is kind of a non-event around here, except that Matthew has a birthday coming up on April 2nd. He'll hit the big 4-0 this year. Every year since his birth, I've checked to see if Easter would fall on his birthday. So far, it hasn't. And since Easter baskets are no longer a part of our lives, Easter gets short shrift. Good afternoon, my friends! Or maybe I should say, good evening. We're nearing dinner time here at the Traveling Three Cats Ranch. Before I forget, I wanted to tell you the Starlink unit is set to be delivered Monday. Yay! (I know y'all have been waiting on tenterhooks for that announcement. You can rest easy now.)

So here's how we spent our day. We had lunch at the Oceanside Broiler in the Oceanside Harbor. This was the view from our table.

Since late December, I've been trying to lose some weight. I'm about halfway to my goal now, and I've lost nearly 9 pounds. To achieve that, I've limited my consumption of food and alcohol. Good Monday morning, my friends! We're winding down from our birthday extravaganza. Oh my goodness. A lot has happened in three days. It was all wonderful, and it will also be wonderful to get back into a simpler routine. Here, at the Three Cats Ranch, we really love our daily rut. There was a pretty sunrise this morning. I love the sunrises and sunsets in Nevada. There are pretty sun events everywhere, I guess, but it seems the ones in Nevada are more predictably pretty. I watched this morning's for quite a while and took a bunch of pictures. I was hoping to capture just the moment when it peeked over the mountains, but I got bored after a while. This was the best of the pictures I took this morning.

There was a pretty sunrise this morning. I love the sunrises and sunsets in Nevada. There are pretty sun events everywhere, I guess, but it seems the ones in Nevada are more predictably pretty. I watched this morning's for quite a while and took a bunch of pictures. I was hoping to capture just the moment when it peeked over the mountains, but I got bored after a while. Could there be a better day than one that includes a chocolate factory and a quilt shop??? Maybe if we'd won the lottery. I've heard that your chances of winning the lottery are greatly increased if you actually play. I might have to try that sometime. 

After all that talk yesterday about possibly hiking or biking, we ended up driving to the places we wanted to go. It's important not to get out ahead of yourself, you know. Before we left, I spent some time on the fifth of the blackwork baskets, filling my hoop.
