Stitching with Gimp and a lot of Laughter from Where Art & Life Meet

If you’d like to laugh and explore stitching (or in my case attempting to) with silk gimp and the thicker gimp that Painter’s Threads hand dyes, this was the live stream I did yesterday. Warning: We laughed A LOT. My attempts at using the crinkly silk gimp became more comedic than informative… However, I am… Continue reading Stitching with Gimp and a lot of Laughter

Planner Cover

I’ve been falling in love with the rugged-durability of Kraft-tex, so I decided to make a Kraft-tex cover for my 2020 Quilter’s Planner and Pocket Notes book.

NOTE: The Quilter’s Planner, C&T Publishing and Island Batik provided the planner, Kraft-tex and fabric for this project.

Of course, I had to make a  cover for the Pocket Notes book. Isn’t the heart window cute?  Never fear, vinyl was stitch around ...

Having fabrics with my own printed designs is an old dream. This dream began to come true, slowly, very slowly, gathering small bits of active breaks taken to reorder my thoughts by drawing. Between job and other activities, between something and something else, or while I drink a coffee, or before bedtime...
One day, when the good planets were probably ...
