What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

I have been playing with my fabrics for the 

Bats & Boos Mystery QAL

trying to decide on which of my pretty fabrics to place where in each block.

Choosing fabrics can be time consuming for me.

I have too many good choices.

I have decided and I am sewing.

There are a lot of pieces in these Week 2 Pumpkin Blocks.

This week we are playing with our strips for the improv challenge.

I gathered what was left of my scraps from last week ... 

and there really were not many.

So I cut a nice pile of colorful strips of varying widths and wonkyness. 

Day 1 called for sewing strip sets by alternating directions of or stitching.

I have been doing this for strip sets for many years.

I sewed in pairs. 

Then I paired them up and sewed in the opposite direction. 

At the end of my sewing time ...

Summer in the Garden Quilt Along

This was a fun and easy block to sew.  

The instructions were for making this block with hour glass units.  I cut the squares oversize and trimmed and squared my hourglass block to 6.5" before sewing them into the 12.5" block.

I have been busy with other things.

I have been busy with life.

I have not been sewing and I am missing my sewing time.

I need to sew as it brings me joy and fills my creative soul.

I am trying something new to help me "get things done."
