New Year, New Quilter from From the Strawberry Patch...

Gregory and his Star Wars quilt topOur two local grandchildren have had an extra week off from school this week. Gregory (and his sister) spent the day with us yesterday and helped us to un-decorate the house. There's something about packing away the trees and all the decorations that makes everything look so bare and wide-open; it's sort of a clean sweep and re-examination of spaces that, just

Mission: Organization from Appalachian Quilts

We have now lived here for a little over 5 years.  We still have not unpacked everything.  We still haven't finished remodeling - that's the 'excuse' albeit a valid one.  The house we moved from was over 6,000 s.f.  This house is a little over 1,800 s.f.  While we did get rid of a lot of "stuff", we still had a lot of "stuff".  In our defense, we have moved the house, my shop and the Hubs' shop.  It's a lot of "stuff".  My kitchen is teeny tiny and I have a lot of ...

It didn't take too long to put it into some order so I could at least get something done. I love this Mrs Meyer's Peony scented cleaner. My whole room smelled like spring!

I have lots of ...

Weekend Chatter from Mama Spark's World

I had a really great weekend.   I got a lot of cleaning and meal prep done in the house on Saturday.   I spent most of the morning cleaning out the canned good pantry.   I took everything out of the cupboard, cleaned all the shelves, tossed out all expired food and put everything back inside grouped by what they were.   I also used a marker to put the expiration on all the canned goods.
