Oh Scrap! : Various Blocks from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I have a large pile of various cut blocks sitting next to my sewing machine so that when I get a moment, I can go in there and sew a few seams.  I never quite know what blocks are going to end up being completed.  But I seem to have made some more progress this week.

I finished up six more RSC Well Suited blocks.  I think I just need to sew the pieces next to my machine and I will have enough for my quilt.  This quilt is really scrappy and will probably end up being a donation quilt ...

Oh Scrap! : Look at me Go from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

After being in a heat induced funk for a couple weeks, I have finally found my found my mojo and started sewing again.

I finished three of these scrappy blue and turquoise blocks for one of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts.  These blocks are made using my Two Bits Scrap Mixology pattern module.  I think these blocks bring the total completed up to 23 - which is about half of what I need for the quilt.

I also finished up two more of these color blocks in turquoise.  I am making mine with 2" strips and trimming them to 12" square ...

Another Chaser Block Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I thought this week I would share another scrap quilt finish I made using my Chaser block pattern.

This version of the pattern uses HSTs and creates a completely different look than previous versions.  I used this quilt to focus on using some of the larger chunks of fabrics in my scrap bin.

It made such a fun rainbow scrap quilt.

Just a reminder of the two previous quilts I made using the same pattern.  Kind of hard to believe that so many different designs can be made with just minor changes to a block.

And I continue to think ...

Another Chaser Block Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Today I thought I would share another finish from the third module of my Scrap Mixology pattern series.  This block design is called the Chaser Block.

This fun 100% scrap quilt is made with two colors of scraps with a bunch of low volume bits to create all that sashing.

You can see all the scrappy goodness a bit better in this photo.  I used red and blue in this quilt but you could certainly use any combination you wanted.

This version of the Chaser block uses all the same sized rectangles.  I used one of my AccuQuilt dies to ...

Another Scrap Mixology Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

It is no secret that I love to play with scraps.  And when I do, I like to keep the designs simple, versatile and I always love to play with color.

Today's finish ticks all the boxes!

I actually completed this quilt late last year.  It is a design I have done a few times in the past, but this time I used just colors from the cooler side of the color wheel.

I love how the different shades of blue, green and purple are highlighted by the black.   This quilt design is such a great way to use ...
