What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Good morning, my friends. We have a couple of nice weather days going on right now. The temperatures have warmed considerably, which is very much appreciated. It was a good day for sewing with bright sunshine streaming in through the windows. I started my sewing day taking the first stitches on the third of three blocks for "S" is for Sew. (There are nine blocks in all, but I'm only doing the first three for now.)

We'll have to make a short trip into town tomorrow, but it will be fast. Today, though...nothing. Good morning, my friends. I'm writing super fast this morning. I have just 15 minutes before I need to jump in the shower and get ready to head out for my monthly pedicure. Honestly, I wish I was staying home. I seriously considered canceling yesterday, but then decided to go ahead with it. So, here we go. No fluff. I hate to write and run, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Good morning, my friends. How's everyone doing? Things are pretty slow around here. We're doing our grocery shopping today, and I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow. The energy level is going to need to pick up some. I was all set to take a walk on the treadmill yesterday, but I was discouraged when the TV wouldn't play my latest Ken Burns documentary...The West. And, obviously, I can't walk on the treadmill if I can't watch television at the same time, so what's a person to do? Well, I vacuumed and dusted. I ...

Good morning, my friends, and Happy President's Day! We're celebrating the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln today. Here, in America, these used to be separate holidays. A while back, some genius got the idea to combine the two into a single national holiday, providing Americans with another three-day weekend. If that includes you, then enjoy your day off.

Good morning, my friends. It's a second Valentine's Day here. Mike and I have an evening out tonight to celebrate Friday's Valentine's Day. There's a special three-course meal at one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Portland. We wanted to avoid the Friday night holiday crowd, and so we waited until tonight for our celebratory dinner. I'm glad because I doubt we could have gotten out of our driveway on Friday. Tonight, it'll be smooth sailing...but no sailing...and no slipping, just because it's smooth. Sailing and slipping are to be ...

It was a miserable day of weather yesterday. Smitty could scarcely believe his eyes.

By noon yesterday, we had about three inches of accumulation.

The freezing rain didn't start until last night. There was just a little more snow accumulation. This is how it looked this morning.

It's a chilling thought (did you see what I did there?), but in a little bit, I need to leave to get my hair cut. Also, I need to stop off at the grocery store and pick up a few things we'll need to get us through the weekend. We'll do our regular grocery shopping next week.

Good morning, my friends. It's a frosty and cold morning here at the Three Cats Ranch. Freezing fog was in the forecast, and that's exactly what we got. We still have patches of snow left from last week. Now, everything is coated with a slippery sheen. I don't know about you, but I'm staying inside today. The last thing I need is to slip and fall and break another bone.
