A So- So Day from Quilting My Way

I was up before Patrick,  but then he was having another bad day. Wonder if he got a cold or something but then he wasn't sniffing or sneezing.  Temperature was normal. He was just not 100%. So most of the day he laid on the couch or slept in the chair off and on. He had football on all day long.

I listened to my books on tape. Finished one and started another.  I played some but worked on my beading. I finished the second panel of the first set of two. Now I am a third done.

Keeping Busy With Projects from Quilting My Way

This morning, got 6 laps with Ron around the neighborhood.  I was in two battles with my game between walking.

Patrick wasn't having a good day, so I pretty much worked on my projects.

I was able to get three more potholder done.  They went pretty fast. I was even enjoying my book on tape. I have a total of 12 done so far. Guess they will end up as Christmas gifts.

Took Time For Beading from Quilting My Way

Was up early, had a couple nightmares. I checked the pattern we used for the floating star. I noticed we could have done it better. I was wondering about the teeth of the star. We did it different then the pattern. It was bothering me the last couple days, so went to look.

Debbie came over for backing fabric.  She's all set.

After she left, I played my game for a bit. Patrick took a nap, so I put my tablet away and got to work on my beading.

I got half of the left done.  It went really ...

One Of Those Days from Quilting My Way

Today was another good day. Patrick went golfing.  Ron and I got 5 laps in on walking.

Came in and played my games for a bit. My bread dough was ready, so I made hamburger rolls. Patrick helped me try something different.  We put 4 small balls together.  It actually came out pretty good. Patrick froze the extra.

I ended up working on QOV stuff again. Got some work done. Ordered flyers for December.

Once all that was done and supper was over, I remembered to clean the cat litter box.

Found Time To Bead from Quilting My Way

This morning I tried to sleep in. No such luck.

Ron and I walked 6 laps. Then came in and got batting and backing cut for Colleen.  Then re-did the certificate for one of the veterans yesterday.  Now that is ready for tomorrow.  Monday's are my busiest days of the week.

One I had everything done, I decided to bead. I had thought about pulling out my white on white quilt and start Quilting but changed my mind. Need to get my ornaments done first.

First panel in the second ornament done. I had to double check a few ...

Lazy Day With Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning,  I slept on. Then playing games.  My lunch was canceled so didn't go anywhere.

Ron and I walked 5 laps. He couldn't do any more.  Patrick went to his coffee chat. He meets up with his other City workers that retired when he did.

I got my certificates done for Saturday.  Then I cut backing and batting for Colleen.  I found the foot peddle for the sewing machine.

Then when he got home it was being lazy. We didn't even have the TV on. He picked up a roasted chicken for us. It was pretty ...

Getting Back On Track from Quilting My Way

This morning,  I was up early.  Had to get my stuff together for our meeting. Patrick was up and got the veggies from the garden for me to take to mom and the gals.

I headed to the PO to drop off my recycling stuff for Oral B. Found out I needed to go to Staples because the label was for UPS. I ended up waiting 10 mins before I could hand it over.

Arrived to find Alice and Sandy there. Gave Sandy the kits I got fir her and the porcupine quills.

I was able to get this much ...

Yet Another Saturday from Quilting My Way

I woke early to find Patrick was up before me.  6:30 am is early even for me.

I played my games till about 10 am. Patrick and I peeled and cut apples for dehydration.  The rest for apple sauce.  We froze it all. Once I was done peeing,  Ron and I went walking.  We got 6 laps in today.

Came in and waited for Phil. He came for a couple hours visit.  We had a great time. I beaded for a bit while he was here. After he left, I went into the computer room and got some QOV ...

VERY Sore Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I woke to pain in my chest. Not in my chest but on the skin. I scratched myself last night while sleeping and got more pain then after surgery.  I called the day - don't do day. I didn't do anything today! Hurt to much to do anything.

I did finish up a few things. Helped Patrick unload the dishwasher.  He thinks I over did it yesterday and I would agree to that.

I did find a few minutes to finish the last panel. This is ready to be an ornament.

I also started the next set ...

Made It Back Home from Quilting My Way

Yesterday we went to a tracker show/tracker parade/knife and gun show.

Loved seeing this! We stopped and visited with dad since he was selling knives at the show. He had them overpriced and can understand why he hasn't been able to sell them. No one can tell him otherwise,  too stubborn.

Today we were on the plane at 11 am central time. We made it to Minneapolis around 2pm. We weren't leaving there till 6:45 pm. So, I got a salad at Chilli's and Patrick had a bad day. Took awhile for him to ...

Vacations Can Make Me Forget from Quilting My Way

It was Saturday.  Yesterday was pretty much a quiet day, but I did get a few things done.

We did go out on the pontoon and look around.  They were going to go swim in the deep area, but changed their minds when we got there.

We found a few turtles enjoying the sun.

Came back and they sat in the water. I beaded and worked on my embroidery.

I did try and start the nest but it's boucle thread and a pain, I may work on that later.

When I went to beading,  I got messed up. I ...

Thursday- Relaxing from Quilting My Way

We started out by getting up at 9 am. I guess I am still on Washington time. Want to stay up passed midnight and get up around 9am.

This is what the Wiltzius men called relaxing.  All three had a good nap.

I came in the cabin and worked on my embroidery.

Took a break and played my game for a little bit, then did some beading.

This is the second panel of the three panels. I should have it done by the weekend.

Then I decided to try and get a little more done on my embroidery.

This is ...

Enjoying Family from Quilting My Way

I realized I hadn't posted yesterday.  We pretty much spent the morning flying. We arrived in Escanaba MI around 11 am. Christine came and picked us up. We spent most of the day sitting and chatting. Christine and I walked 3 miles. We called it a night early.

This morning I was up at 7:30. Christine made sausage egg biscuits.  It was really good.

We headed out to pick up a few things. We are getting food and stuff for the cabin. Then came back and walked 3 miles. We walked faster than I normally do.

When we ...

Fair Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early getting ready for the fair. I realized I had forgotten a few things. I also forgot to get back with Sandy on having BE stuff there from our group. I texted Sandy V last night to make sure she got her tickets.

I started out with sending Bryan a family report on the ancestors of the Matheson side. I only gave him 5 generations, because it goes a lot longer than 16 pages otherwise. He will review and fix what needs to be fixed. I will get with him when we get back. I ...

Genealogy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was running behind. I had to get moving for walking. We did 5 laps around the neighborhood but thought we did 6 till I realized I was counting wrong on my tees. We had stopped and chatted with Kevin Hubbert and thought we counted wrong. After I got home, I figured out we did. Oh, well.

I spend the rest of the day till 4 pm working on family history. I was adding a few things on Findagrave. I was also putting obit information into my program. It was long but it needed to be done. I ...

A Day At Home from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing. I stayed home.

I was playing my game on the computer this time and working on my beading at the same time. I was even playing another game on my phone as well. lol

I got a load of laundry in. I'm getting ready to get the clothes in the suitcase for when we head to MI on Sunday. Scott is going to keep an eye on Sophie. She will be mad at us when we get back. But we need this trip for Patrick. He didn't do so good at golfing and now he ...

Hello Monday! from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up as Patrick was out the door to go golfing. I played my game for a bit and then decided I wanted to bead - at least get one row done anyway.

I did get one row done. Then Patrick came home. We had to leave for Olympia. I had another doctor appointment.

We headed up to Olympia but had to make a couple stops on the way. Once that was done, we headed up there. We are back to wearing masks in the offices because of Covid showing up again. I was okay with it. My ...

Time To Get Organized from Quilting My Way

This morning, I walked with Ron, and we got in our 6 laps around the neighborhood. He was doing pretty good today. At 94 years old, I hope I am as good as he is at that age.

Came in and started cleaning a bit. Got laundry going. Even got the cat litter cleaned out. Every couple weeks I wash the litter box itself. Then bleach it. Doesn't seem to both Sophie. But it does make me feel better when I wash the box.

I was waiting for my bag of tubes to come in so I could get ...

Calm Down Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing, and I went walking with Ron. We walked 6 laps together. Then he was ready to call it quits.

I decided since I had been so busy this week, I would just relax and enjoy the day. Patrick came home and turned on the "Love Boat" series and I about died. That show I used to watch as a teenager and now it's so lame I can't stand to watch it. So, I did what I always do when he does that, pulled out my headphones and listened to my book.

Then I ...
